S3 #52 - Raiders Over England - October 1940 The Battle of Britain has been lost but the Luftwaffe will
not admit outright defeat and continues to pester coastal targets
and London itself with small bomber raids and jabo attacks.
The hard fighting jaeger are sent over in large numbers to fight
the rapidly growing numbers of Spitfires. It is a fighters
battle with brave bomber crews making fast runs at all altitudes
to hit specific targets to let the British know they are still at
the mercy of German might.
This series is a a game of cat and mouse with the Luftwaffe trying to hit important industrial targets and shipping without slugging it out in massive waves like was done in September. The Luftwaffe must tie up the RAF to allow bombers and jabos to hit quickly and get out before the Spitfires can get them. The RAF must continue to attrite the enemy and make daylight bombing an impossibility. Raiders Over England runs on Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 9, Nov 16 and Nov 23
