Here are your targets

Image

You may base in Sicily anywhere you like but I will assume F44 for now. Aircraft is your choice.

Friendlies will be on radar off F40 at T+25 and over F56 about T+42 in strength up high.

Feel free to hit before, during and after aforementioned activity.

If F56 and F14 close feel free to attack shipping or if those targets are too hot please attack shipping.

Copy all,

Just to throw an idea out there......seems to me that closing F7 instead of F14 would really slam them mid frame. They can only base 3 steps there intially and none at 58 intially but once they realize you intend to have everyone west they will come in droves and the only two airbases there are 7/58. If we closed 58 from behind as you guys show big on dar than the bombers hit 7 they are just given 100 miles of travel back to 124 they were not expecting. Just a thought.

Field 7 has 25+ scattered objects required for close and only 13 points.

I do agree it would cramp their style if it closed, it is a tall order to get it done for low points gain.

F14 is a town worth 12 points but all the objects are in a packed space and easy to hit from hit altitude in the bombers.

If the heavies want to do F7 instead of 14 I have no objection but I picked the easier target to hit from 25,000 feet in B24.

NS can feel free to whack F7 as it would certainly help.

I will give the bombers the choice as it is a good idea.

I must admit I have not looked at the numbers of objects at 7 or compared the difficulty of closing 7 vs 14. I was looking at it from the possible Oh sh*t aspect if we could catch them unprepared.

We are good with whatever.

Dawger Sir,

Doing a .cmeye today I noticed that F56 has 5 bridges not just the 3 you have arrows pointing to.

the 2 straight north of 56 (as shown), 2 (not 1) south-east of 56 and the 1 just north of 54.

Did these get assigned to someone else or does the NS need to take these out also? If we don't get jumped we should be able to get them all.

Good catch. Too many different threads/pictures for the same "target".

Never mind :D

If the NS plan to hit the bridges BEFORE T+42 feel free to hit all five. I can easily re-task 475FG and AE/100FBG to a different target.

Here is a dtf to check the status of all F56 required targets

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xjgk89xxj4gxdnh/f56.dtf?dl=0

The plan has lots of overlap and backup built in.

I will check the status of the bridges before the T+42 strike arrives and task 475FG and AE/100FBG accordingly.

F14 Status Checker (Only reports objects still up)

Questions are welcome.

My major concern is risking pilots early in the frame for brides assigned to a bombers tertiary target. I know you have a plan for fighters to drop high on 56 (if possible) but there are simply too many targets there for that to be effective. If I can keep my pilots alive than we can do the bridges later once your big wing has depleted them, especially the southern ones.

I can't stop looking at 58 and thinking it would be wise to remove it from play. We could attack it early as the LW are reacting to your initial dar movements. It would pigeon hole them to F7 and force a 100 mile ferry to combat. Heck if we don't close 7 maybe the Spits could CAP it later so we could trap or hinder them to a point where we could continue to attack it or make it too dangerous for them to operate from.

Am I crazy here or do you have any thoughts on the strategic/tactical side of 58?

58 only has 9 required targets so it is easily closed.

56 is the biggest points target at 22 points. At some point in the frame it will become PRIMARY. Someone will have to kill the bridges eventually.

Closing 58 before we break radar at T+25 would restrict enemy basing in the target area so I am not opposed to that plan.

I am much more interested in the Night Stalkers surviving multiple sorties than in any particular target or order of destruction.

The three bridges assigned to NS are single span and should drop with a single bomb, well placed.

NS have complete discretion on timing and target selection. My only preference is to close 58 before we pop radar at T+25 if you want to go after it.

I will be on GCI (if the airline schedule holds up) and will advise the radar picture.
