My major concern is risking pilots early in the frame for brides assigned to a bombers tertiary target. I know you have a plan for fighters to drop high on 56 (if possible) but there are simply too many targets there for that to be effective. If I can keep my pilots alive than we can do the bridges later once your big wing has depleted them, especially the southern ones.
I can't stop looking at 58 and thinking it would be wise to remove it from play. We could attack it early as the LW are reacting to your initial dar movements. It would pigeon hole them to F7 and force a 100 mile ferry to combat. Heck if we don't close 7 maybe the Spits could CAP it later so we could trap or hinder them to a point where we could continue to attack it or make it too dangerous for them to operate from.
Am I crazy here or do you have any thoughts on the strategic/tactical side of 58?
58 only has 9 required targets so it is easily closed.
56 is the biggest points target at 22 points. At some point in the frame it will become PRIMARY. Someone will have to kill the bridges eventually.
Closing 58 before we break radar at T+25 would restrict enemy basing in the target area so I am not opposed to that plan.
I am much more interested in the Night Stalkers surviving multiple sorties than in any particular target or order of destruction.
The three bridges assigned to NS are single span and should drop with a single bomb, well placed.
NS have complete discretion on timing and target selection. My only preference is to close 58 before we pop radar at T+25 if you want to go after it.
I will be on GCI (if the airline schedule holds up) and will advise the radar picture.
