"352nd FG - Fields 234 and 195, Primary Jabo: Radar 242, Secondary: Field 280. Denial of Reds from East. Patrol Grid 7,4 and 7,3."
IF every one of our fighters carried bombs and IF every one of them impacted on a target, we could not close Radar 242. (Too much stuff) IMHO it requires a strike squad of some type to do that. IF we are tasked with taking out that installation we will have to be running back and forth there the whole Frame and could not perform the requested "Denial of Reds" part. If we got to pick, it would be the "denial of reds" part. Pick one of the two, please. Frankly, the Bf 109G is not really an adept "ground attack" airplane.
Field guns of all types are not "required", but if strafing of any target is required, the guns gotta go.
