S3 #45 - Kanaljaeger Shield - Channel Front - Spring 1943

The newly arrived 8th Air Force has joined the already powerful RAF in attacks across the Channel to test their growing might. The few Luftwaffe geschwaders along the coast defend when and where they determine the odds are best in their favour. As more and more raw USAAF fighter units arrive they must take over the protection of their bomber brothers from the spitfires of the RAF. It will be a test of brash new world pilots against the professionalism of the old.

In this series the Allies have the numbers advantage but the Luftwaffe are defending under a radar umbrella and have tried and true aircraft. The new Thunderbolts and Lightnings have to prove themselves not only to the enemy but to the vetern USAAF pilots who have flown Spitfires the year before. Back by popular demand special ops will pit the sneakiest and smartest on both sides as they conduct precision attacks deep into enemy airspace.

This series is the first in a three part campaign that pits the USAAF against the Luftwaffe, spanning the bomber battle over Germany from 1943-1945.

Kanaljaeger Shield runs on Sept 23, Sept 30, Oct 7, Oct 14 and Oct 21. The ETO will be the arena for all three series in the Bomber Battle over Germany Campaign.
