475FG Orders

475FG has the longest distance to travel to the rally point at T+23. They must takeoff at T+0 and fly the following profile:

P38F 100% fuel + 2 X 1000 lbs bombs. Field 197 SP3 climb 200 climb speed to 20,000 feet then level direct to Magenta Box. Even following this speed profile 475FG will be slightly late to the box.

ALL OTHER GROUPS WILL REMAIN IN THE BOX NO LATER THAN T+23

Proceed along red route on map to strike assigned bridge. Dispatch no more than 2 pilots below 20,000 for bombing at a time. (T+40 estimate) Once ALL bridge spans are down remainder drop on F56 from high altitude (DTF to check bridge status https://www.dropbox.com/s/20iip943g29x9 ... r.dtf?dl=0 Save in Warbirds directory, type .dotfile 475br to run )

Once ordnance expended fly reverse red route until visual bombers and take up close escort 3 miles in front of bombers with flank responsibility as well. Escort bombers until they RTB F44 or clear of enemy radar and threats. Replane at Flight Lead discretion to rendezvous at T+125 in Magenta Box.

BOMBERS RTB F44 ORDERS:

Fly cover for all until bombers land and Spitfires land and reup. Once Spitfires are on station cycle to escort bombers on second sortie.

BOMBERS RTB Africa Orders:

Escort until clear of threat then replane WITH BOMBS to rally at T+125 in the Magenta Box. If bombers will be at Magenta Box T+125 plus or minus 5 minutes assume close escort of bombers. If bombers not on schedule, proceed with Spitfire escort to assigned targets.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES WHEN THE PLAN GOES TO HELL:

NUMBERS AND AGGRESSIVE ACTION at the point of contact!!!

1. KILL the Bridge
2. ESCORT the Bombers
3. Remain under the umbrella of Spitfires when not doing the above 2

Enemy fighters are only to be engaged if they number at least 8. DO NOT chase singletons or small groups. Respect the HARD deck of 20,000 feet when on escort duty.

AE/100FBG Orders

AE/100FBG is only slightly closer than 475FG to the rally point at T+23. They must takeoff at T+0 and fly the following profile:

P38F 100% fuel + 2 X 1000 lbs bombs. Field 200 SP1 climb 200 climb speed to 20,000 feet then level direct to Magenta Box. Even following this speed profile AE/100FBG will be slightly late to the box. 475FG should converge behind you enroute and they will maintain visual on you

ALL OTHER GROUPS WILL REMAIN IN THE BOX NO LATER THAN T+23

Proceed along red route on map to strike assigned bridge. Dispatch no more than 2 pilots below 20,000 for bombing at a time. (T+42 estimate) Once ALL bridge spans are down remainder drop on F56 from high altitude (DTF to check bridge status https://www.dropbox.com/s/hzgqas1oi044wij/AEbr.dtf?dl=0 Save in Warbirds directory, type .dotfile AEbr to run )

RCAF 127 Wing Orders

RCAF 127 has the longest distance to fly for the Spitifires.

Field 201 100% fuel recommended

Takeoff T+5 or at RCAF Flight Lead Discretion to Rally in Magenta Box at T+23. Acquire other Spitfire Groups and direct them to form on YOUR formation.

ONCE WITHIN VISUAL RANGE IN THE MAGENTA BOX THE THREE SPITFIRE GROUPS WILL BE CONSIDERED ONE FORMATION BY THE FRAME CO WITH RCAF 127 FLIGHT LEAD AS THE NOMINAL FORMATION LEAD. INDIVIDUAL GROUP CO'S WILL RETAIN ALL DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY BUT ANY ORDERS ADDRESSED TO 'SPITFIRES' APPLY TO ALL THREE FG'S AND ARE MEANT TO BE EXECUTED TOGETHER

Leave the Magenta Box at T+23 (ALTITUDE DELETED) and follow the red route to the green box. Hold in the green box until P38's complete bridge strikes unless directed against the enemy by frame CO.

Once strikes are done, spitfires will assume remote escort duty by sweeping ahead of the bombers 5 minutes or as directed.

Escort bombers until they RTB F44 or clear of enemy radar and threats. Replane at Flight Lead discretion to rendezvous at T+125 in Magenta Box.

BOMBERS RTB F44 ORDERS:

Fly cover until bombers land. Launch from F44 ASAP so P38's may cycle as they will be covering your landing. Fly remote escort 5 minutes ahead of bombers or as directed.

BOMBERS RTB Africa Orders:

Escort until clear of threat then replane to rally at T+125 in the Magenta Box. If bombers will be at Magenta Box T+125 plus or minus 5 minutes assume remote escort of bombers. If bombers not on schedule, escort P38's to assigned targets.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES WHEN THE PLAN GOES TO HELL:

NUMBERS AND AGGRESSIVE ACTION at the point of contact!!!

1. CAP the P38's
2. REMOTE ESCORT the Bombers
3. Remain as one loose formation coordinating all action with other Spitfire groups

Enemy fighters not attacking bombers are only to be engaged if they number at least 8. DO NOT chase singletons or small groups. Respect the HARD deck of 20,000 feet at ALL TIMES.

For the 4th FG--->

I did an off-line time hack for our mission (after logging into S3 for transfer of settings):

T+0 Field 153. Spit-9e, 100% fuel, 89% throttle, default climb 170 mph. Heading ~060 deg.

T+ 03:57 10k
T+ 05:52 15k
T+ 08:00 20k (2,6,1x)
T+ 10:35 25k
T+ 14:00 30k (2,6,6,8x)
T+ 20:00 35k (3,6,8,3x) ***RV Point*** (85 min fuel remain)

T+ 30:00 F-54
T+ 32:40 F-56
T+ 38:00 F-14 (68 min fuel remain
T+ 55:00 F-44 (51 min fuel remain) @ 35k.

I figure we will have to take off at T+0 to make the RV at 35k with the other spits.

35,000 is not a requirement as we will still be off radar. T +23 is the important thing.

The delayed takeoff time for the Spitfires is purely fuel conservation. Spitfire groups may adjust according to their own needs but it will be important to conserve fuel for bomber egress from enemy radar as late as T+ 85.

Thanks from bringing this up. I should have been more clear.

Time is first priority, fuel second, altitude last. The P38's will be at 20K at the rally point
