1st sortee: we rolled P-40F's. 1/2 of us with bombs..we was able to grab alt.circled around 198.until the UM M'S rolled...we escorted them to TGT 217..After the buffs made their first pass.we descended down to deliver our Bombs N Strafffe....After making several passes..I seen our bombers making another run on the base..I called clear TGT area.so. There was no chance of friendly deaths..After the Bombs went off we Re-Engaged ground TGT's. .we was all looking for the 1. Hidden TGT that was keeping the base. Open when a nuke went off killing the hidden Parked AC..that was actually in the water next to the shore. Line.....I called out a egress Heading NW and we Rtb to reassigned base 198..

2nd Sortee: while waiting on Orders N finding out the. Bombers wasn't going up again we rolled lite 198 grabbed alt into the field 201 area...we enter into the area at 24K..N was able to assist The 4th who was dragging to base..we had a short engagement with some MC-202''s..we lost 1 pilot in this engagment..it was time for no more ground attacks .we RTB'd.to field 201..and stood down for the night. .

Side note for future C.O.'s . I repeatedly ask for orders for our second hop.. Not receiving any I took it upon myself to head N to assist in the 201 area..nearing the Area I repeatedly asked for Dar info...In both instances my calls went out upon death ears..it was the 4th who reported dragging to 201..that we had any intel.. luck for us we was close enough to aid them...

Being assigned Escorts for the UMM bombers....Also tasked to go hvy...i was in a dilemma. . The only AC really viable for this duty was the P-40's...since the F was a new Aircraft into the mix..Bluzoo and Myself..tested the FM....we found the F was a shade faster in wep..alt ceiling was about the same..performance compaired the the E.was about Equal...only difference was the F climbed better..but climb rate is still real anemic..you haft to use wep sparingly or you will damage motor..

My concern was being heavy it took the F 25 minutes to get to 20K.N lite 25 minutes to get to 26K.. I was afraid we wouldn't be able to cover the bombers properly...The late roll by the UMM allow us the time we needed to achieve the alt. We needed..

All In All the. P-40F compared to the E.. only difference we found was a little better climb rate..handling was a dream it flew identical to the E. You just haft to nose it down to pick up any speed...

I am not sure why I didn't see any requests for orders, Fog of War maybe :shock:
