Since we have time for a second sortie, how about hitting the 3,4,5 area. 5 is a small field, would it be hard to close? 4 is a village and 3 is coastal defense. I will let you bomber dudes tell me what is possible/doable. F2 is closer to our fleet and is by itself, however, it is a medium field.

Bomber dudes need to make up their minds on this second sortie crap.

The whole S3 world revolves around bomber dude hand holding but they cant be bothered to respect the rest of the squads enough to set a second sortie launch time and leave the entire second half of the frame a total mystery.

It does make a difference.

If there is going to be a second sortie the fighter squads need to know because we need to KEEP a cap on Oahu the entire time you RTB from sortie 1 and INGRESS on sortie 2 or you will get met by a bunch of P-40's with altitude.

Supposedly we take S3 seriously.

So strike is hitting single sortie?

Going to be a quick S3...since they get points for killing aircraft, and no reason for fighters to be over island if we are not protecting bombers.

Banzai!

I feel a second strike is about a certainty, so let's relax a bit.

A few more gallons and 10 mph faster helps, but longest pole in the tent is the CV turnaround. Besides augers, it takes more time than a land base gaggle. The last series helps a lot, and we are much better on/off the boats than last fall.

Secondly if JABO has the boats going a realistc speed, range is much shorter to the tgts for a second go. Besides, it makes landing and takeoff more like real world. Minimum of 20 knots - 25 mph ( real world was about 25 knots)

Gums-san sends....

P.S. Just got back from TDY and unpacking. How many eggs/torps per boat? Haven't had time to try yet. The Kate nord is standard WB laser doofer, so level bombing should be very effective.

5 is easiest (well 3 is but it won't bring points like 5).

Inventory for Field: GAF 5
-------------------------------------
3 PA Parked a/c types - various types specific to terrains. 350
1 FD Small fuel tanks at airfields and other locations. 500
2 HT Tent and tent hangars. 600

2 G1 Twin MG position with man. 200

2-3 bombers should be able to take this out with the 1x250 & 3x60 load out.

The dock must also go down.

Inventory for Field: Village 4
-------------------------------------
6 HS Various small general structures at all locations. 800
1 EF Various very large buildings that store goods at major locations. 3000
1 BB Vic56 small coastal boat 1000
1 G1 Twin MG position with man. 200
1 B1 Port base object - TERRAIN SPECIFIC 2500

Probably worth hitting after 5 goes down and if there are enough bombers.

Fly SE from the boat 127º then hook NE 40º will be lined up for 5.. continue E, hook around head W and should be lined for 4.

Bomb load travels significantly faster than torpedo so expect ~55 minute round trip w/ 35 to target.
