Download the tttcv.mbl file to your warbirds main folder.

Start the game, go online, select the S3 arena. Enter the password, then log out.
Select free flight, select country Red. then type in

.loadmo tttcv

You should see a cv around 0,10,8 (North West corner of map).

Select bomber, B5N2 as your ride. 100 % fuel, Torpedo load out. Click on the CV then click fly.

Go kill ships by 14. for practice take unlimited ammo so you can get multiple ones.. If you can please record your flight path and times and post it. For example it would be great to know how long it takes to get off the CV, climb to 5K fly to target, drop down to the ships, take one out and RTB.

enjoy!

Do both the Kate's and Val's carry torpedoes?
If so which is the better plane?

Only the Kate can carry torpedoes.

As to which plane is better, our penalty plane for game violators is the Val. :D

The Val is tough. The Kate not so much.

Full fuel and torpedo

8 minutes to 5000 feet at 125 mph 90% throttle

80% throttle 35 minutes in cruise from CV position to Ford Island by way of direct Kaena Point down the Waianae Coast to a point west of Ford then direct

43 minutes one way.

86 minute roundtrip

FUEL REQUIRED ( NO RESERVE) 130 gallons (45%) (flown at the power setting above)

10 minutes reserve at full throttle 18 gallons

Total 148 gallons PLUS 10% contingency equals 163 gallons or 56% fuel load

This was tested/calculated at 100% fuel so all numbers are slightly conservative.

I have updated theUMM Frame pagewith a couple more practice runs. Short runs should get you over target pretty soon.

Thanks. In general Im a big advocate of flying at 80% so we can all be formed up nice and tight. That said in this series doing so will relegate us to a single sortie night. If we plan on doing two then its imperative that we get out as soon as we can and fly as fast as we can. The time hacks I have posted were calculated allowing for catch up in the first 10 minutes of flight and then full throttle. 60% fuel seems to get the job done.

You can do two sorties easy at 80% throttle for cruise.

Thats 8 minutes to spare NOT including the fact that the carrier will move 22 miles south by the RTB of sortie 1

And a further 22 miles after sortie 2.

There will be plenty of time to do two sorties and fly proper throttle for formation ingress. Egress is probably going to be pairs or singles hauling ass over the hill and 100 throttle on the deck all the way to the boat.

Just plan a sortie 2 roll time of T+ 93 and go with whoever is ready at that time.

Easy.

Even for a fighter guy.

Bathroom breaks on egress from sortie with the new, super duper autopilot.

Heh, tight formations have not been an issue and we like to make accommodations for few late comers and take our time between sorties Its not the real military after all ;-P

Also having already send out the route with time hacks and not having the means to alter it now I'll have to leave it as it was.

Ultimately I'll leave it up to Hawk to decide. Most likely Im not there tomorrow night.

Noflyz,

I like your plan. Do we have a DTF for hitting the ships?

Thanks buddy
