OH Frame IV Orders

Quote:
6. Squad Basing - there is no limit to where squads may base or replane but the three IJN seaplane bases(F1,F14,F21) may only use the E13A(Val sub) while the USN seaplane base(F32) may only use the Kingfisher(SBD sub).

We all Roll from the Northern CV Group. West or East CV doesn't matter. If anyone has any variables to the T+ takeoff times they are open for adjustment. The key is that we are all in place when the bombers turn west at the 10.6 cross.

    All Bombers T+0
    KoN Fighters T+2
    NS heavy F6F's T+4
    AE/100 + 127 Wing T+5
    475th T+6
    LF-6 T+7

Below is a basic draft up of how I would like to see our first sortie move in. The area shaded in white is the radar coverage from their fields. Depending on where their CV group is located you must assume you are on radar anywhere west of the 5 vertical line.

Bombers up at T+0 and follow the coarse laid out by noflys. It is very important that you relay position and altitude every (1) minute once we are on their radar. Too much info is never enough. I only ask that it be given by one person. You will need to let me know who is giving the report.

Night Stalkers up at T+4. Heavy F6F-5 You are to remain well behind and unseen if possible to come in and clean up any missed targets at the field. You are free, if you see the opportunity to stay off radar until the bomber have the drop then move in from the north to finish remaining targets.

Knights Fighters you will roll T+2 and assume close escort and fuel conserve to stay with them as long as possible.

AE/100 & 127 Roll at T+5 and climb to the 6 line and you will have high altitude forward sweep in front of the bombers. You will maintain approx 10 miles in front of the group and should never lose visual range of buffs on your low 6. Report bandits on country channel.

475th T+6 Climb to position to the North of 6 line and keep a left eye on the buffs 9 o'clock low while searching bandits ahead and to the right. Be ready to merge in to help if AE / 100 or LF-6 call contacts. Please use country channel for all comms.

LF-6 T+7 Climb to position to the South of 6 line and keep a right eye on the buffs 3 o'clock low while searching bandits ahead and to the left. Be ready to merge in to help if AE / 100 or 475th call contacts. Please use country channel for all comms.

Any changes will be made in RED.

I apologize for the late orders but remember this is only a game.

Sorry swede ... Please wing with AE / 100. This will put more fighters out in front... Sorry I overlooked your group.

We need very aggressive fighter activity. We seriously outclass the Zeroes and should apply pressure at all times to the ones we can see.

30,000 feet will put you out of the fight with bombers at 12,000 feet. I don't plan on taking the 475FG above 20,000 feet. Diving Zeroes are nearly harmless. Trying to fight them above 25,000 is a stalemate with few kills for the time spent engaging.

Will you be able to see the bombers if you are 8,000' above them? Maybe it is just my bad eyesight, but I can't see them more than 6,000' below us. Large bombers is no problem, but the TBD is small in bomber terms. If you have trouble seeing them, you could always put a wing pair lower to have extra eyes closer to the bombers. ;)

The IJN might come in under the bombers since the USN always tries to be high. ;)

In order for them to kill the bombers they will need to be at the same altitude as the bombers. I am merely suggesting that we remain in a visual distance of the group so that we can protect them. Fighter altitude is the choice of each group's leader. I suggest make the leader the one whose video card is not all that great. :D

We (475FG) WILL not all be in visual contact with the bombers. We have a lot of sky to cover. Some will be in visual and the rest will maintain contact with THOSE guys.

Bomber position reporting will be critical to maintaining Situational Awareness for the escort groups and I strongly suggest it be done in Bullseye as well as grid format as I will be flying with the GRID OFF
