Sorry guys I just assumed the A6M5a was in production.
Your choice of A6M2 or A6M3s which I gather were in the area at the time.

If anyone else have conflicting information please reference them.

The F6F5 wasn't in production either. April 1944

The real reason not to switch aircraft is because there is an update coming out next week or so and it includes the A6M2 (major revision) and A6M3 (minor tweaks)(I didn't do the A6M5 because of this S3) and it will be a FORCED update. So we will be getting brand new FM's in the middle of an S3 if this plan to use earlier Zekes stands.

Jabo (et al), In light of what Dawger said above, I would ask that consideration be made to keep the original setup of A6M5 vs F6f. We have had a lot of A6M3s in the last year and have not had this matchup in a long time - probably more than five years.

Agree, call it a fantasy event and go with it as first described.

Alternate reality...if the USN had the-5 and the Japanese had the A6m5, what would have happened?:)
