Don't want to lose Autopilot. I need a chance to dash to the toilet a bit before contact so I don't piss my pants when bullets start flying past me plane :D

For sure Beav. Especially since my wife raises all sorts of hell if I piss out of the window of my upstairs man cave.

I think moving the patio furniture might help - or give the woman an umbrella.

It's not a matter of losing autopilot. It's just that you have to achieve a higher airspeed for it to hold. That means no climbing in a FW190A4 with drop tank at 150mph (or whatever Luftwaffe conversion that equates to). Set a higher climb speed, or a higher speed for level flight, then engage. It works fine, just not at max climb/max throttle. Seems silly to just stop progress because folks don't want to lower the nose a bit before engaging auto.

Would it help if we all just had air starts at 30k with aggressors 30 miles from target? That would eliminate the need to auto climb.

dazed, some FMS are worse than others. The F4f-4 for example cant hold steady until power is reduced to 40%.

Auto pilot is not going away...it's nice to have a "pause" for an online game.

Just working the FMs to try to enhance, but hitting "coding" stops...

Feedback received on Autopilot...
