@ wolfie

How about same numbers for Allied lites WRT climb times and distances.?
+++++++++++++
So you lites come up with a plan to get as many buffs over Big B as you can, huh?

P-51B
Header: 80 mins.
Header + (2) 108 DTs: 146 mins.
Header + (2) 75 DTs: 126 mins.

P-47D-22

Header: 63 mins.
Header + (1) 108 DT: 82 mins.
Header + (2) 108 DTs: 102 mins.

Both aircraft have a rough time-to-climb to 30,000' of 30 minutes at a best-rate. The P-51B took 106 miles to get to 30,000', the jugs a bit further.

A mission profile that recognizes that at the point that the enemy is encountered most available fighter aircraft that engage will need to shed their tanks would be helpful. At that point they have a very finite amount of time remaining to continue to go East. Buff route and RDV point effect fuel available for your fighters once joined.

Here is a question. With the targets spread apart, doing a surgical drop is impossible isn't it? I did a screen shot in the classic version and there isn't a whole lot of targets to hit. Now I am confused the purpose of hitting Berlin if dropping our bombs mean just digging some really big holes.

We don't have any points for Berlin yet. But we definitely need to finish it TOT for the 80 pts.

Your "lordship" is correct.

Berlin is it then! Let's flatten the bugger and plan how to best use our fighters to get more of us there.

Question,

I need what rides the fighters will be using? I am thinking about having the 352nd as close escorts and another group forward sweep to keep to 190s from getting HO's on us.

Buff groups, I am thinking of taking the B24's out but want your input.

Hawk, the 23rd has 1 frame of 1x P-47C. If possible, we would like to use the Thunderbolts this frame...saving the ponys for the finale.

We will of course, fly whatever is needed. If I may make a suggestion, since the 352nd have used their allotment of P-47s this series, I would make sure 2 of the 3 large fighter groups use P-51s
(ie: make sure the 4th and the 23rd aren't in P47's in the same frame :!: )
