Salute!

I ain't the CO, but I tried up north and if the heavies taking out the 88's, then strikers and lites can have a field day at the port, factory and F182.

Then there are LW fields west that can be had.

When I say heavies taking out the 88's, I am not talking NOE. But if DR wants to try it, fine. Then we have the Stalkers and Ferrets. Once those suckers are out, we can come back and back and back.

Need some CAP over F4, but we have a few small fields plus F190 that can handle the twin-engine buffs.

Seems to me with 4th and 23rd, that we can gain air superiority to the extent that strikers and buffs can succeed getting some huge points.

LW may think about our plan, so it's essential to have many lites in the air. OTOH, LW buffs may be hitting south, and that would be good for us.

That's what Gums thinks now....

We need a decision, ya think?

I agree Gums, I assume you saw my post about the Northern targets in the "All Quiet on the Western Front" thread. :D

Of course, those decisions rest with the Frame CO. ;)

Just my opinion:

I'd rather attack an 88 down low any day vs the 40mm.

In the weeds the rate of fire and hitting power of the 40mm as well as the 20mm is deadly.

Salute!

Our Mossies have good guns/cannons, but no Nord.

Tried one on the 40mm at F21 using Rx, and nailed it before it nailed me. So may work on the 88's by F16 and F182.

There are at least 4 88's by F16. And another one I couldn't find on my test run. The 40's at F182 go down real easy if we drop 1000 pounders in Mitchells.

If Cool and his squad wants to take on all those 88's, then go fer it. Nomads still prefer Mitchells and drop using Nord from 8K or so to avoid the 40mm acks. The 88's are the ones that get us if we are above 2,000 feet and within the range of the 40's.

Mtdew will be making decisions, I'm just here for comedy relief :)
I know he had been looking at a couple of ports that he thought we might be able to close.

Night stalker numbers are usually around 4 pilots.
I believe that we are looking at flying the Mossies this frame.

I guess just too many suggestions. :D

127 VVS should have about 6-10 pilots, attendance seems low, but last frame was the Grey Cup, the Canadian Football League equivalent to the Super Bowl. We have lots of Canadians in our group so we believe many were watching the game instead of flying.

We like the P39 and don't mind going heavy, but if you want us in another plane, we will fly whatever you deem necessary.

I would not expect many LW at F184 or F263, and the twin-engine buffs cannot hit them per the steeekeeeng rules.

263 is a landing strip that the buffs cannot hit, 184 is a small field that the buffs can hit.

11. Ground Targets - this is a tactical and operational terrain with 300 fields of 27 different types. There is quite a variation in fields and many attached bridges, of three different types. So offline recce is crucial to successful closure of fields. Equally important is assigning the proper a/c type to the proper target location. Single-engine a/c may attack any ground target in an attempt to close it. Twin-engine a/c may only attack the following field location types;

AIRFIELD, LARGE(RDF)
AIRFIELD, MEDIUM(RDF)
AIRFIELD, SMALL(RDF)
AIRFIELD, GRASS(RDF)
SUPPLY DEPOT, SMALL
SUPPLY DEPOT, LARGE
RAILYARD, SMALL
RAILYARD, LARGE
PORT, SMALL
PORT, LARGE
INDUSTRY, CITY(RDF)
INDUSTRY
OIL REFINERY, SMALL
OIL REFINERY, LARGE
OIL FIELD
HYDROELECTIC DAM
COASTAL DEFENCES, HEAVY(RDF)

Also, any shipping or tanks are targets for buffs as well:

9. Shipping - There will be a large number of static ships in the terrain near ports. These will not fire on attacking a/c. Various AI shipping from both sides will be moving or anchored throughout coastal areas. These ships will fire on attacking a/c and this includes freighters as well which are now armed. All a/c types may attack AI shipping. AI shipping will be in every frame in the general area of the map icons and will not respawn during a frame.

10. Tanks - there will be four large groups of AI tanks to be attacked indicated on the map. Each will consist of 8 tanks of a specific type. Once all 8 of one type are destroyed during a single frame they are removed from play for the series. AI tanks are tough to destroy. All a/c types may attack AI tanks.

 Loose lips sink ship.

Remember last week how 352nd seemed to know what we were up to before we took off.

Lets hope that was a fluke.

:!: Be real careful who and where all this gets discussed. spys are everywhere.
