How is TOT calculated?
What target numbers count towards TOT? Does it include the industrial areas?

Anything about what it means to score "TOT" on Berlin would help

Jabo answered in one of the many threads in the Frame 1 preparation. The answer is NONE as City 96 does not have a blue number. TOT only counts on bombs that fall within the City limits of City 96. TOT "counts" whether or not you happen to hit or destroy any targets as long as the bomb falls in the City limits.

12. Bombing Targets & Area - only the small area around Berlin indicated by the red box on the game map can have its airfields or industrial targets bombed. Each industrial target has a blue number assigned to it. To score points all structures must be destroyed at an airfield or industrial target. Each target can be attacked in more than one frame until ruled destroyed after which it cannot be attacked again. Airfields ruled closed will be destroyed and not open in succeeding frames. Berlin(C96) will be a seperate target which can be destroyed by TOT. Each frame that TOT is scored on Berlin it will be reduced from the TOT number for the next frame. Being the Nazi Capital it will have a high TOT value that will need to be targetted several times..



Having made the above observation, it would be handy to know how many 1000 lb. bombs it happens to take to get a "TOT Closure" of Berlin, but that is actually unknown.

I can tell you that a 1000 lb bomb does 1100 points in damage. Don't know TOT totals, but if it took 100,000 pts to TOT a target then you would need approx. 90 some odd 1k bombs to kill it

The "wrinkle" being that in a recent Series we learned that the values shown in the "New Terrain Object List" were not what were present in the S3 Arena. NoFlyZ was able to take down a specified target with less ord than shown on the list. Bottom line---one doesn't know unless you can make practice drops on the actual target.
