lol, this thread has been hijacked!
Couple things I find odd.
#1 - why is channel 100 enabled? I thought that was disabled 2 years ago in the S3. I never tune to it so didn't know. Stopped tuning into it after I was CO and gave all my commands on the open channel (yea, not so good)
#2 - Hawk was commenting on Buff Tough, not anything bad the AX did. We have done a lot of ETO events over the years and I do not believe we EVER had (since 2009 anyway) a otto of 1 and a Buff Tuff of 1. That is because the modeling isn't perfect and we don't have real experienced gunners. we are trying to simulate it. With otto set so low, a 190 can saddle up on the 6 of a B17 and have at us at will. When we have had turned up Buff Tuff and Otto, Berlin runs were still a 60% buff kill. With these low settings you should have shot down every one of us but didn't really engage buff group #2.
This was my quote before the frame:

lol,
Sorry, I had to chuckle when I read this. I have flown at least 3 series in ETO doing this (15 frames) since 2009 (POS was my first series). We have always had a high otto and buff tuff and whenever we went deep to Berlin we suffered 45%~65% casualties. Here is a link to the last Berlin Run
http://www.errthum.com/troy/warbirds/s6/framedetails.php?series=ADDR&frame=2The Leads and stragglers are always the 1st hit.
I have no idea why Jabo wants us to go this deep with default otto and buff-tuff.
I expect that we will need a 3rd or 4th before we are done
p.s. We will go with 70% fuel. My 1st frame in POS our whole squad ran out of fuel on the return flight about 15 miles short. I really don't want to do that again.
I would like to propose a slight "change". use arena settings that were used in ADDR. We will still probably suffer 60% losses but not 100% like it should have been last night.
One question for the AX, since the S6 isn't processed, was any AX shot down by otto? Did not see any in the buffer.
