New map and inflight DDS.

Frame 4 saw the IJ again mass and move down against the east side this time. The Allies were no where to be found having all scattered out to strike distant targets across the sea in New Britain and on the northern coast of New Guinea. In the central Solomon Sea roving fighters found some small Japanese convoys and single boats racing for cover sinking several over the night. The Japanese after bombing allied airfields spread out and swept the area finding a few smaller groups of enemy fighters and scattered B25s. Fear of the superior Japanese fighters kept them running and only those low and slow were caught and shot down.

The IJ closed two allied airfields 79 and 80 putting a crimp in air operations for them in the east. Allied attacks closed two ports(40\43) and a village(31). The front continues to move slowly up the spine of New Guinea with 67 now in allied hands. Allied shipping has moved to support this and is plentiful from 67 SE to 97. Sinking these ships should be an important goal of the Japanese fighters and bombers. Japanese shipping continues to support their major base at Lae but has withdrawn into more northern waters off New Britain especially. As in the previous two frames he Allies need to continue sinking these ships and targeting isolated outposts.

Summary for the last two frames up on Wed.

The Night stalkers have used up their allotment of B25's. According to the S6 the allies only have P39's and P40's for frame 5.

NS will be in P39
AE will be in P40
23 will be in P40
4th will be in P39
475 will be in P40
100th will be in P39

If we are going after ships as Jabo suggest hope we can take torps. Now if we could just get ships loaded so we could practice ;)

You can put Sentai 127 at 46. We could take bombs south (Zeke's) and take a peek for Allied shipping, and watch for them to come North after our shipping. That is as far East as we have a base, 42 is the other field on New Britain.

If Hawk and the lads close 81 & 82 it will limit the Allied offensive at the will only have Goodenough with 2 steps to launch from, otherwise it is from Port Moresby or Milne Bay.

Just my nickle's worth (we stopped making pennies over a year ago, saved the government many millons of dollars) :D

Practicing blowing up ships online can be time consuming and give away our plans to the enemy, so Iv made a offline mission using which you can go blow up ships in the privacy of offline mode ;)

Here's what you do...

click here to get the mission files.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4rju7ozwsj52yos/kt5.zip?dl=0

Unzip this to your main warbirds folder. Unfortunately I have not had much luck on posting download and unzipping cause almost everyone's computer is slightly different and Im on a MAC so pretty much my instructions would be useless to the PC users. In any case if you find me on TS3 I might be able to guide.

Once you have them in place, login to the S3 arena and logoff to get the settings et all similar. Then click on Free flight, load up the New Guinea map and type in.

You will be placed at F62 in a G4M1 w/ torps. selected. You can of course change all of this and choose to fly in a fighter if you like from a field of choice.

Here's what it looks like..

enjoy!

Past experience would indicate that ALL S3 Settings DO NOT TRANSFER. Do you KNOW, for sure, that target hardness is one of the things that do?
(Edit: Which is not to say that creating a really nice practice program like NoFlyZ has done isn't a lot of work and much appreciated.)
