Changes

Okay, I see what has happened, so Gofly will fly with the Knights as the Nomads and the Mud Movers are a group of 4 (remember each bomber gets an AI Wiingman)

F52 - Knights and Nomads - Betties and your sundry support aircraft (a Ki43 with a full tank of gas (might have used the tiny drop tank) can run for 162 minutes at full throttle and the Zero has 126 minutes of endurance)
There are too many targets at Goodenough so I want you to close the airfield and get as many other targets as you get there. Sentai 127 will provide escort, use TAC 16 for Comms

F66 - Mudmovers - Betties - Fly down the Eastern side of the Terrain to F79, then turn towards F90. If you have any bombs left, hit Port 76 on your way home, otherwise, turn a bit sharper and cross the mountains on your way back home. Sentai (LF) 6 will provide your escort. Please arrange a TAC channel with them, DrDart is the leader.

Sentai 127 - F82, aircraft of your choice. Head East to watch for any strikers coming out of Goodenough, the Knights and Nomads are tasked with closing Goodenough and you will escort them.

Sentai (LF) - F81 & F79 - Aircraft of choice. You will escort the MudMovers with their bomb run on F90. Before that, you might want to scout south of Dyke Ackland Bay in case they have any aircraft moving up from Milne Bay or taking the low mountains near there.

Sentai (FG) 352nd - F80 - Aircraft of choice. Your primary objective is protecting the Trail at 77-78. Be prepared for either escort duties (if Sentai 6 or 127 gets entangled with NME before the bombers arrive) or to protect our fields if some NME gets past detection.

As a note, the Zero cannot dive to catch American Iron if they dive away, so keep your altitude advantage. I don't believe the Ki43 is much better in diving.
If a target or two is left at either of the attack sites, both of our fighters can carry bombs, however the Ki43 is a better bomber.

Please let me know your aircraft.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

Banzai!

The AI Wingmen have trouble maneuvering around the mountains at F63 and F64. If we need them to successfully take off with us I request we be
based out of F66.

Konnichiwa Sakai San, we will be 4-6 pilots. This is the route.

flying east then turning towards 90 and 76. If we have 6 we can probably close both, with 4 probably only get 90. Fingers crossed!

Clarification please. Does the 352nd Fighter Group have any contemplated responsibilities with the Mud Mover mission? If so, we know where. When and how high?

Happy trails...

Depending on the action between 77-78, you could send 2 steps of fighters to sweep the area about 5 minutes ahead of the bomber arrival, I would stay at 20,000' and push any allied down so the bombers can pass safely over, unmolested. There may also be AI's heading into Port Moresby, they could escort also.

Knights/Nomads - do you have any time/alt hacks for Sentai 127 to meet you before ingress to Goodenough Island?

NOTAMS

The ACK over Port Moresby and the adjacent airfields is BRUTAL! It was rocking me at 5km (16kft) up to 7km (22.9kft).

@UMM - I suggest maximum altitude, Gents. The OwenStanly Mountain Peaks near the 3.3x is at 3.5km (~12kft). And you will need alt over the targets.
