Need to know who has dedicated GCI for the squad/group.

Please let me know by responding here so we can maximize use of DAR, and also maybe get some coast watchers set up to look for low/NOE inbounds.

475th will be grounding our top ace for GCI duties.

Seems a shame to do that when we are blind anyway.

Personally, I don't see GCI as an effective use of resources for this S3 after seeing how useless it was when I was frame CO for frame 3. Visual range is much farther range.

With proper combat spread formations and folks on BARCAP over the probable ingress routes as per Dobs setup we should have good coverage.

In any case all CO's need to be aware that visual lookout is the watchword and not rely on radar contacts as the primary source of detection if we want to catch them on the edges of the AOR before they can strike.

Radar will be useful only if they make the mistake of concentrating on field strikes again.

127 Wing will have myself on GCI unless numbers dictate that I fly, we seem to be down a few lads this series, due to Real Life issues.
This isn't your fathers RCAF anymore. (Well never was mine as Iam a southern cancuck) just joined because they had better tasting beer....

GCI doesn't do any good if you have no DAR ;)

OK...can I get your GCI to broadcast on Country and swede if you would take f289 as your radar station and also "keep an eye out the window for NOEs to the South, 23rd put their GCI in port 87 to do same. Look at Radar...look out window:) Between the two of them...maybe we can find em!

Hopefully you don't draw the Ferris wheel assignment, at the very least bring duck tape.
