Orders for Frame 3 WTC:

Mission Objective: Strike a crippling blow to the LW's fields and radar. By eliminating the radar we can fly in and out of LW territory without them having radar help.

4th: Fields F212, F234 your choice Aircraft is CO choice (sorry for split no choice)

SORTIE 1:

Primary target is F213, Secondarty target is F255. Bomb group launch at T+0 fly DTF route, climb to 15k. 352nd will intercept bombers at 4,3 cross T+14. P39's fly close escort, others high cover. 352nd escort bombers to target F213 and out toward the NW. 4th will intercept bombers around 2,1,9,1 and escort them to secondary target F255, then out to the north till they are clear. Fighters not on escort duty will fly CAP near the bomb group. Bombers must take out the ack at fields so P39's can clean up any missed targets. 4th launch and head NE of F6 to intercept any threat to bomb group then fly CAP over F6 and south toward bomber intercept point. 352nd once relieved by the 4th fly CAP near bomb group as fuel allows.

NOTE: Hawk is the bomber group leader.

NOTE: Fighters please resist the erg to chase the LW. Stay with the buffs, they are the key to mission success. Will be plenty of time to chase LW once radar is eliminated.

SORTIE 2:

Primary target F233, Secondary target F124. Bomb group launch at T+70 fly DTF route, climb to 15k. 4th will fly CAP north of F6 and rally with bombers at 2,3 cross at T+90. 4th escort bombers into F233. 352nd intercept bombers at or NW of F233 at T+95 and escort to F124 if they have the ordnance, then escort bombers out until they are safe to the north. 4th once relived by 352nd fly CAP toward F220 as fuel allows.

F124: is a logistics base for the LW, it has 1 40mm gun north, and one 40mm gun NW. Their are a number of trucks, if we can take them out this will help cripple the LW's logistic chain. P39's can hit this park repeatedly if more trucks show up. I will try to advise as the battle progresses. The ack is precise and continuous, do not try to hit trucks if ack is not down.

DTF Files will be posted shortly.

Thanks to Wolf, Noflz and Hawk for all your help putting this together.

Please review and post any comments or concerns.

Sorry Timos, I changed the aircraft assignment. Let me know if you want to stay with the buffs or rally with the 4th.

Thanks

High as the 4th has been operating as 2 step group so far. We can more than likely use F 212 as home base.

Hogjaw,

Looks great and will send out orders today. I was gone all day yesterday and will get to it soon. Do have the DTF file we talked about?

Good luck buddy!

Pappy,

Can you have Kelly contact me today. My TS crashed and lost all my rights.

Thanks!

DTF Overlay Files for Buff Missions

Image

Image

NoFlyZ has been good enough to make .dtf overlay files for Frame 3. When brought up, they display as shown. Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to post them in an easily downloadable location. Squad COs, and Flight Planners who can guide your pilots through the installation and display procedure are welcome to contact Wolf, graywolf@352ndfightergroup.com , and the files will be emailed post haste.
Caution: NEVER "Open" a .dtf file prior to installation. ALWAYS just copy and paste it into your Main Warbirds directory. IF you elect to open it, your computer will turn it into a text file that will not run.

BTW, install the new .dtf files AFTER you update WBs to get into the S3 Arena.

Happy trails...

The board allows the files to be attached. I have attached b1.dtf and b2.dtf

Also adding some performance numbers for the B25J that will let you ball park where you will be at what alt at a given time.
All data collected with 100% fuel, climbing at a climb speed of 150, using both stages of boost till they run out approx at 20 minutes.

^^^^
THANK YOU!

NOTE: Please just "Copy" and "Paste" these files. DO NOT ATTEMPT to "OPEN" them prior to installation or they won't run.

When the files (B1.dtf and B2.dtf) are installed in your Main WarBirds directory and you are in-game with the Crimea terrain up......

Open the Radio Buffer
Type: .dotfile B1.dtf
or
Type: .dotfile B2.dtf
ENTER

The map overlay will be placed on both your tower map and your in-flight map.

These files go away when you land. If for any reason you wish to "strike" the overlay:
Open the Radio Buffer
Type: .mapclear
ENTER

You will go back to your normal Crimea map with no overlay.
If your in-game map looks like the pic above, you have the file properly installed.

BTW: UPDATE to get into the S3 Arena prior to installing the .dtf files in your WarBirds directory.

Happy trails...

It's a bold plan Mr. Hogjaw, I like it :).
At what alt will our bombers fly? Our fighters efficiency diminish rapidly with alt. Buff boys should be aware the LW will come down from on top, with more smash than the vvs fighters can produce for an intercept. We can however stop them from making a 2nd pass.
