Rulz say we can use wingmen, but not as cannon fodder.

Are we to just use them as tag along targets or can we issue them orders to "strike"?

Jabo please clarify.

Quote:
5. Strike/Bomber AI - each pilot flying a strike or bomber a/c may also take 1 AI. Please try and use these AI as realistically as possible, consider them your wingman and not suicide bombers. Player bomber and strike a/c will have the S3 buff-tuff, AI bombers are not effected by buff-tuff so will be easier to shoot down.

I am sure you can use them to strike, the rules say to use them as realistically as possible, just to be target drones is not realistic. ;)

I would take this to mean that for level bombing, they stay in formation. For Jaboing you can send them in to strike, but have them leave when you do. That's how I read it.

I'd check in .show the wingmanstrikerange to see whats possible. Its a cm adjustable command, beyond that range they won't obey a strike command

Sometimes guys used to use their AI as decoys and send them off flying away. Just keep them in formation with you. The other favourite tactic is have them ride piggyback right behind you. Please keep at least 150ft or d0.5 between you.
