The Night Stalkers, 100th FBG, and the Nomads have, as yet, to claim a Frame. I would be fairly certain that Flight Planners, and COs of the other Groups would be willing to lend a hand to anyone wishing to add shoulder board stars to their resume. Currently Frame 2 and Frame 5 do not have a volunteer for the big chair.
Expect to see your usual IL2s inbound to the enemy, hopefully smarter and tougher this time but you will need to cover the areas they are in. If you dont want to attack in the north maybe put a good squad of Yak3s there to tie down the enemy and cover the front lines for your IL2s. If you penetrate deep toward Sevastopol or over the ocean to the west look out for low Ju52s(AI planes) heading away from the Crimea. In the same area you will find several groups of shipping moving east and west evacuating troops. Shipping off the southeast coast should be moving properly this frame and not out of position to start.
Plinking small strike or fighters into airfields and ports to hit high value targets like parked a/c or ships maybe the way to go. Dont fixate too much on closing locations. You can always do that later in the frame depending on the ones that look the easiest to close. Shooting down enemy a/c and sinking AI ships should be the key efforts of a frame. The rest is gravy. Escort is paramount in any endeavour.
I don't understand the AI points being changed. They were not defended and should count for what they were intended. If error in any way thats the way it is. It would bring in doubt any future scoring rules. I would not want your hard work to be injured by poor assumptions (by others) of invalid rules changes. Any lopsided score is just a challenge to us. So an artificial "even-ing" is not necessary.
Forgive me if I have made poor judgments here but it is what it is.
Mr Hawk,
Suggest we find the AI's that we are suppose to have (Ju-52's I believe). I am a bit ignorant here as I heard of no AI's for us at all in frame 1 (they were probably everywhere Im just stupid). The other is obvious from the learned in frame 1. I think we can cover more area than one may think because of our high ground speeds in the russian aircraft.
