All my websites are down and I created a ticket with the hoster after several attempts as their website is flakey as well.

ohoh.... good thing I have back ups on my personal laptop.

The problem is I leave tomorrow for a 2 week vacation. Don't know when we will be back online.

Quote:
Data Center Problem (In Progress)
Priority - Critical

UPDATED JUNE 25 10 PM PST
Currently, we are facing a total and permanent data loss of several of our Servers at our Los Angeles NOC (Network Operations Center where the Servers are physically located).
What happened?
A hacker accessed an IPMI (Standard Remote Management Tool), and reset the BIOS on several of our servers, including our backup drives and backup servers.
It appears that there was an extremely critical bug in SuperMicro’s baseboard management controller (IPMI) which allowed attackers to reveal all passwords for the controller in plain-text. This password exposure vulnerability allows the attacker the ability to connect to the machine as if he were physically next to it. The server can be formatted, have a root-kit installed, or be compromised in any number of ways. Scans of the internet were conducted rapidly after the announcement, generating a database of over thirty-thousand valid IP, username, and password combinations.
Here is a link to explain it in greater detail:
http://arstechnica.com/security/2014/06 ... ory-warns/
As of right now - we have a total and permanent data loss of your website and files, email, etc.
We are not giving up (of course) and we have highly trained NOC Technicians attempting to restore the data - BUT, we have NO IDEA if they will be able to restore any data, and we have no way of knowing how long this will take (could be hours, could be days, or they may never be able to restore anything, we just don't know at this stage). If we are able to restore your data, we will notify you immediately.

I just had them confirm... all is lost with no workable back up as it was hacked and destroyed as well.

un frikkin believeable.

I have no idea when the S6 will be back up. I run other websites for some businesses and I will need to get them going first. Expect weeks.

Parts of my site magically appeared over night including the S6 pages and data. :)

I am packing and leaving today, so I will let Toad upload frame 5 and then I'll do a final report from the luxury of my beach chair in the next few days.
