some ideas for frame I:
is to take a cautious approach with Strikers for first 40 minutes of frame or so.

Scout enemy basing and aircraft type with our powerful 109s and use them to harass and disrupt from early in the frame. We should have at least 1 step out there, maybe 2?

The majority of us will be in 110s.

Id like to take a balanced approach and avoid the mass gaggle tactics that frames sometimes end up as.

I am also having a bit of trouble with the map, I cant seem to see where the front is? Anyway, we can discuss a sort of overall strategy for the whole series here as well.

Id like to hear thoughts on how others think we should kick off the series so speak up with your brain flashes please :)

Also due to cruel work conditions I cannot check the forum constantly, my email is another story though.
Feel free to contact me privately to discuss any concerns tim@blackstoneknife.com

I pasted this from Jabo's thread. Its always good to consider the donkey.

Limited to the NE corner of the map for Frame 1. Attack targets on the Allied line and behind it. Leave Yugoslavia alone as it will fall to the axis for Frame 2.
Need to review the new target locations and see which is the easiest to close with the most points to be had. Off hand I would say tank units and fortifications while the village with base target is a good one for level bombers as the objects are all relatively close together for a salvo.

Probably a few should be in the 109 to start, its uber in the matchup and will keep the RAF from forming up if placed near their forward airfields. Essentially this is a 110 vs Hurri matchup so you will need most of your squads in these for every frame with the limited 109 used wisely and the fragile MC200 on specific missions.

Strike 1
Id like 2 or 3 steps of 109s to climb into enemy territory from 55 and 57 near the front. They should go towards the Allied MOB 99.

At this time a strike force will be heading for the small fortification at the Rupel Pass target 60.

Id also like 3 steps of 110C to set up a CAPover 57 and 60. Its possible the 110s will act as a hammer for the 109s.

Strike 2
110s will gather over the Rhodope mountains near 68 to support a strike on coastal targets near 69.
Strike will hit these targets timed shortly after the first strike.

Strike 3
Longer range strike over the Agean Sea to hit coastal targets near Attica.

Strike 4
This will be the later frame attack after we gather our forces back together. We can probably focus on finishing either of the first two strike targets with 110s and 109s in support.

We have 8 steps fighters, we can support two steps of 109s for 3 frames and 1 step in the other two frames FYI.

sOMETHING Like this is what I have in mind for the first half of frame

After studying the radar we could also consider a Blitz strike on the town 61 to take out radar. tHIS TEAM CAN THEN REBASE to perform strike 3

For Squad Striike Roles I am thinking

Knights for Strike 1

Since I would like the 109s and 110s to be able to set up 109 anvils with 110 hammers through out the night

A step of 4th guys in 109s and 2 steps in the 110s

A step of LF6 in 109s and 2 steps in 110s

Hopefully this should facilitate the communication necessary to draw in some Allies into a situation where we have superior numbers.

I am looking to assign both the 4th and LF6 near the strike 1 package.

Nomads for Strike 2 along with a step of heavy 110s

I will team up the Haze and AE as the 110 support for strike 2.

Night Stalkers for Blitz strike and then Strike 3
note you will have 110s heading towards your egress path AND a flight of 109s out ahead of you climbing. My plan is for you guys to strike quick and get out drawing the enemy into a trap. If your ingress route is heavily covered we will abort and you can rebase to the Main Operations Base and setup for the long range Strike 3

Hawk,

Id like you guys to pick up Strike 1 assignment ( note my map).

Notice your ingress will be off enemy radar. You will already be pointing for home as you strike targets. Please investigate targets 50,52,53.

Will start looking into the details. If you are talking blitz then it obviously isn't the stuka :)

Remember you have a homebase now and can only rebase if your field closes.
All such rebasing must go to the MOB. Makes life simple and there can be no confusion of which base to use.

If you look at the map the far eastern frontline area would be the most difficult for the enemy to defend. He would be intercepted by your fighters coming south long before he could get to protect the frontline positions.

Yeah 110 would probably be best Coolon, target at 61 would be both radar buildings. It does have an airfield but can only handle 1 step.
