It takes 50, 1000lb eggs to crack the carrier trucks in the Greece Arena.

Carriers are relatively new objects, only found in Crimea and Greece. So I think maybe the MA files have not been updated yet to reflect this. They represent trucks and M5s so should be easily strafed down. Tanks and M3s are the new weapon class and should be harder to blow up. Parked a/c are actually parked a/c in these terrains, in all previous terrains they were trucks.

Please keep reporting issues like this, it helps us improve the game and fix any issues promptly.

"Carriers" look like trucks. "Weapons" look like trucks. "Weapons" look like tanks. All are hard to kill. "Weapons" have laser-guided guns. The one you are not shooting at will kill you while you are attempting to strafe the one you can actually see. However, guns can kill the omnipresent 20 mms.

Having said that....
It is a rather beautiful new terrain with LOTS of targets to go after. Once it gets sorted-out, it should be really nice.

Happy trails...

Just to clarify, the MkIVDs, M3s and M16s you see in the terrain will not shoot back at you. They are just static targets. They will be protected by the usual nasty AAA. To keep it historic the AAA levels are much less than the Crimea or Japan Islands.

Similarily the DDs in the terrain will not shoot back at you either. There are 37mm AT guns and I think they only shoot at tanks but I have only seen them shooting in the Combined Arms terrains.

Dunno what object file got loaded up. I need to update myself and go have a look. Payed attention to the carrier is a truck thing in solomons. Mayhap the regular file we use just needs loaded up.

Ahhhh... Mobile AAA trucks were definitely shooting back the day the terrain was loaded. Several of them in one concentration of tanks just over the line. 20 mm AAA is "laser guided" and took me out at 8500'. Initially, the level of "protection" did not encourage low level attacks at all.

I will review the ack settings. I think arena AAA are at the lowest levels but all the crew that originally designed them to work are gone now and maybe what we think is the lowest is the highest. Will switch it around and see on Saturday when I am back in town. The tank units generally have two 20mms protecting them.
