http://www.squadselectseries.comFrame 1 of TWF saw different strategies from both sides. The allies used their medium bombers to close base after base while the axis struck more tanks and shipping. The allies managed to close 10 outposts/arty and 1 GAF to the axis 4 outposts/arty and GAF. This was not without losses though and most of the allied bomber force was shotdown during the night while axis losses were lighter. The allied success on the ground did move the frontline 6 locations east putting a sizable bulge in the axis line in the centre.
Allied forces outscored their opponents in base closures and transport a/c while the axis scored higher in tanks/shipping and e/a shot down. Both sides were relatively equal in pilot losses.
Considering how different the tactics were the final score was dead even with the allies scoring a total of 73.8 pts and the axis 73.6 pts. A complete breakdown is available in the summary posted on the main page above.
I apologize for the late post on this.
Map has been updated with frame 2 results with a stalemate situation on the frontline. Both sides closed the same amount of bases, 8 outposts/arty and 1 GAF, so the frontline does not move for frame 3. Awaiting the S6 to score frame 2.
This should allow planning to begin for frame 3.
Good Luck
Notes
1. Flak is very deadly in this terrain but only at low levels so please bomb from high to get the 50cals and 20mms before coming into strafe down objects.
2. This is a small terrain so it is much harder to find loopholes in the enemies defenses so plan escort and sweeps accordingly.
3. Remember if your base is closed and you are in the air you must rebase to the only one field F10 or F6. If you are in the tower you are done for the night. No teleporting.
4. Squads may divide up their rides and mix and match as long as each player flies the required types during the series. It is up to each player to make sure they only fly what they have available.
5. MA weapons, objects and planes are in effect.
