Trigr=, Crommm, Phenix, Kapsyl, Rock and Gflyer launched from F14 in heavy A6M3s at T + 0 and grabbed out southeast to scout for enemy shipping. We found and reported the location of two ships but our torpedo bombers were busy elsewhere so we attempted to sink them ourselves. Bomb hits or sustained cannon fire produced an exploding sound, a fire and then smoke but five seconds later the smoke would disappear and the ship appeared to be undamaged. We lost Kapsyl to a collision with a ship and rtb'd to F14 at T + 75 to rearm.

Trigr=, Crommm, Phenix, Rock and Gflyer launched from F14 in heavy A6M3s at T + 75 and grabbed out north where we encountered 127 and, per their request, escorted them to F18 for their strike. As we were rtb from the F18 strike we received orders to rendevous with the Knights and escort them on their strike at the enemy carrier group. The timing didn't work out because by the time that our strike package arrived the enemy strike package had returned from it's successful strike on our carrier group and we were badly outnumbered. Gflyer shot down a TBD and got shot down himself. We had a long fight with the carrier cap that extended from the enemy carrier group just west of 6 9 4 almost to F14. Short of ammo and fuel and realizing that the enemy F4Fs might attempt to vulch at F14 we throttled back, rtb'd to F6 and stood down at T + 160.

Kills: 1 (Gflyer.)

Losses: 2 (Kapsyl and Gflyer.)

Thanks to Sakai, the IJN CO and Jabo and Roan, the S3 guys, for a fun final frame.

Banzai Trig!!

Yep, the Allies barely escaped/defended the attack on our CV task force.

Timing was everything, and the lites got back to the boats just in time to make a difference.
