Two thoughts come to mind. Split the teams into two sections. One along with a lot of escorts and the Knights go after the CV. The other group covers our bases. i bet they will try for 38 and 40 again.

Just a thought.

If anybody is attacking 38 and 40 it will be us, the front moved again and they have those bases

Need to rethink this frame now. Our CV is starting in the North and heading due South into American Waters. We will need to put 4 steps on the 2 CV's to protect them.

The American Carrier might be heading into our waters, so we should put a quick sweep the for a look see.

We still have 37, but you can see 38 from it, so it looks like a lost cause because they have 4 steps of fighters within 12 miles and 37 is a 1 step base. We might be able to put 2 more steps there if 28 is still busted. Outnumbered and at low alt does not seem like a very good idea to me.

If the Allies pack their forward base (5 steps) and put 4 on the carrier, their rear area and static shipping will be undefended :D

Excellent point! Knowing thier fuel limitations if we can get them running from point to point, they will have a slim chance of managing to hit a strike on egress.

Thanks everyone .. these are some great idea's. Field 37 is a write off in this case. And I bet they will waste no time attacking it. So no one will base there.

Hawk... What bomber are your guys going to fly? What load out and how far will the fuel take you? And have you thought about a field to close?

Their CV will be in the NE as ours is. I would like to scout for its location and keep track of it throughout the frame for a late possible strike.

If we can sink both CV's depending on its location. Four steps of fighters may not have the fuel to get back to a land base with out overstepping it.

Keep the thoughts coming and Hawk let me know as soon as you can.

If we can get the escorts required to cover us into the CV, we'll take the Kate out for another spin. My mistake was not to look for holes and come in from another direction, but if we allowed the escorts to deplete their assets we can get in and sink it once and for all! Of course we will being running NOE fast (ok fast for a Kate) and sneaky.

Food for thought: NOE is not necessary given the tiny Dar ranges and altitude gives more options for running and escort reaction in case you guys get jumped for some reason. I'm not a dedicated bomber or able to fly in he S3s at this time so FWIW..

field closure also may not really be a priority. The front moves each frame regardless. Hitting lots of different money targets like static AC and shipping ,, and maybe making a well timed run on the CV.

Zinhwk,

There are many reasons why we do NOE. The Kate is defenseless and it's harder to see us when we are hugging the ground and they are at alt. We just sneaky that way.
