Well I can say it went much better than planned...thanks to all for the effort!! <S>

First off...sorry to Nomads/NS/AE...I had no idea that CV was going to be all the way up there...I should have switched you to the south CV instead..it was much closer.

I was expecting the Checkmates to have the south but they were a no-show... :(

To the 4th I was thinking the whole time the Knights were going to come down the slot in a large G4M buff groups with Zekes as escort....however it appeared they were in Kates and looking for ships in the south. Glad you were able to adjust and work over the 32/33 area..great job there..lots of points in that. <S>

352nd well <S> for doing what you do..I even managed to roll and escort the DRs on their strike and snag a kill.

DRs..thanks again..you really used those SBDs and did some damage! Took out lots of targets !!! 50 was rebuilt by mistake and we reclosed it and got points for it twice!

Still a little concerned over the Zekes strafing down the CV....will address that with Jabo..even with those two CV losses I think we are ahead by quite a few points....

<S> to all!!

Salute!

Decent plan, Jman. And that CV was way further than we thot it would be. So maybe our frame CO's need to get the position from Donkey-breath real early to account for range and such.

Secondly, we really need some CV to practice with. By early Sunday morning, the CV would not allow ANY kinda aircraft to use. GASP! Tap tap, JABO?

The AE coordinated well with our small strike force. It wasn't but two or three minutes after they had to turn back that a scout found us, then two more Zekes joined in for the turkey shoot. We got a few pings on them, but the end was pretty clear to us from the beginning.

I should have had a flashback to a previous life and had us go into a "post hole". That's where we all start a 360 and the bandit has to poke his nose into the lufberry. Bandit may get a kill or one of the mudbeaters might get a shot or even a kill on the bandit. Beats the hell outta minor jinking and such, IMHO. I gotta talk with Darryl about this.

Meanwhile, the 33 tgt was a good choice, Jman. Many static boats, and we shoulda taken torps and flown wavetop height all the way. At least the "frog man" came in after a late start and no Zekes around. So we got a few points for the good guys.

i personally want to appolige to you gummy bear and you group .our 3 ship of lil f4f's didnt have the range to make tgt and back. i couldnt cover like i wanted to we flew entier mision on reduced T setting 60% for the trip home i was last to trap with only 2 gals left..as we neared tgt area i got concerned hearing the 4th was rtb. i had a choice to make and with fuel on board being crediical i decided to get over tgt area.. we was only 15 mikes ahead of you when you all reported zeeks among you guys we turnned emmediately to help but it only took them a minute before you all was lost..
hind site it was a bad decision made on my part..but at the time with fuel low it sounded like the proper decision at the time to me.. again sorry..

i also want this on the record this is the first S3 thats was so boring for us i fell asleep twice during the frame..

@ Besea

No problem, and we understood the risk of the attack plan.

BTW, in the real world we flew for over an hour and then had a minute or less of stark terror. The escorts in WW2 flew longer than that with the Forts before seeing a bandit. We can't afford a 7 or 8 hour mission, but just think about it.
