S3 Series

I ran my tests offline, after getting the setup from the last S3, I don't know if it would make a difference, but that is a lot faster than I could get the 190F up to.

It would be nice to always have a Jabo squad as well as a bomber squad on your side if you have to CO a frame. Putting the buff guys in Jabo rides doesnt get the best results, even if it did its not all that much fun for em. Just like putting a fighter squad in the jabo role. After a frame or two of that you are kinda aLL set with it for awhile. Makes me wonder what kinda animal these jabo/strike squad guys really are..crazy lot they must be, ferrets and stalkers. Who wants to fly a fighter at compromising altitudes havy with explosives...crazy bastards:)

What is crazier is we (RCAF 127 Wing) keep doing jabo work when we don't have the Ferrets or Stalkers on our side. Some of our guys are getting pretty good at it.

So, in the interest of CO "knowledge", I agree with Hawk. When I was CO, I got a bomber lead and said here is what I want to do, let me know feasibility and details and then I'll work fighter side.

Let the experts deal with their area of expertise, and just work the overall plan. What you have to watch for is "Morphing of intent", i.e. you want to do A, and next thing you know you find yourself supporting B..and its your plan:)

Think Madcats point was, in his opinion, the 190F8 is a survivable platform for JABO, with self protection capability:) However, as everyone pointed out...if you are not comfortable in that ride....chances are your effectiveness and survivability goes way down.
