Is the landing strip at 4.6.5 for real or a mistake, right in the middle of the channel or at least it was in offline mode.
Terrain looks really nice though, cant wait

LOL that is a relic from PTO where we got the field templates. Needs to erased, thanks for spotting it.

Paved runways "may" present some difficulty for any pilot who has yaw divergence on takeoff. The narrowest runway I can find in a 40s-era Construction Battalion Runway Manual is 150'.

Suggest that if this terrain is used in an S3 that distinct reset criterion be included the Rules.

I may be wrong, but the narrowest runways were on Carriers...causing yaw divergence positive planes much pucker factor.

If you look in the NG post of the terrain section there is a good map showing several fields 100ft x 6000ft.
Bombers were not capable from all fields but the larger ones in Solomons should be good to go.
Generally you will see more Naval and single=engine a/c action in this terrain. NG should allow for more bomber action.
S3s are about experten and doing your homework so this is a great terrain addition I think.

Slpy...found the shipping father soft targets. Was able to kill6-7 ships with Ki44. Only took 1
100kg bomb to sink a freighter and 1-2 strafing passes to kill the others, including a destroyer.

I always thought that Coast Watcher towers were interesting. Didn't know they put out radio waves :)

Graphic for runways in Soloman's terrain is narrow. Runways are insanely long. On the bright side, the area around the rwy graphic acts just like a runway (unlike some of the large dirt fields in the Atoll). Extremely forgiving for most fields, although you do have to avoid the trees...
