The update is now live

---== UPDATE FL2085: FLIGHT OF THE SWALLOWS ==---

Here is the link to the MAC update files. Please read the instructions file as the files need to be copied manually for MAC users.
https://jmp.sh/f8xvl1X

--= Me 262A-1b "Schwalbe" =--
The Schwalbe (Swallow) has been fully remodeled and should now be close to real life performance. This jet plane will mostly be used for S3 scenarios, but might see use in the Legacy arena if "Jet day" is sometimes reintroduced for fun at the last Sunday of a map cycle. See further down for more details.

--= Ju 88G-6 and Ju 88A-4 =--
The roll rate has been fixed, and also adjustments to the pitch and yaw effectiveness, with increasing speed, have been made.

--= Bf 109 series =--
The increase in max AoA effect from the leading edge slats has been slightly reduced for all the Bf 109's. This increases the stall speed by 2 mph, and the sustained turn radius by on average 100 ft for the Messerschmitts.

--= Hawker Typhoon 1944 version =--
Small dragco increase, resulting in a max speed reduction by 2 mph.

--= Lavochkin series =--
Leading edge slats effects reduced as with Bf 109's. Liftco increased to compensate so that stall speed and sustained turn rate is relatively unchanged. It's slightly easier to stall now though, due to exceeding the max AoA, if suddenly pulling to hard on the stick.

--= LaGG-3 s4 =--
Slight increase in liftco, decreasing the stall speed by 3 mph and slightly improving the turn radius.

---== THE MESSERSCHMITT ME 262A-1B "SCHWALBE" FULL REHAUL ==---
The "Swallow" made it's debut in 1944 but many pilots considered it to not be fully combat ready yet. With improvements though the Me 262 soon turned into a deadly weapon. It was not suitable for turn fighting at the slower speeds of piston engined fighters, but was near untouchable if the pilot kept the speed high and made fast passes on enemy fighters and bombers. This jet fighter was over 100 mph (160 kph) faster than even the P-51D. The Allied pilots learned that the best chance to kill the Me 262 was to ambush it while it was landing at slow speed, and various hunting tactics and counter tactics were employed by both sides for the vulnerable landing phase. The sustained climb rate of the Me 262 is quite average compared with late war piston engine fighters. It's ability to keep a higher max speed though means it can often zoom climb much better than it's adversaries. The Schwalbe has an excellent roll rate at high speeds and it's 4x 30 mm cannons, while having a poor trajectory, can pack a serious punch when hitting home. These cannons can rip even a B-17 to shreds with a good burst.

It is recommended to trim the nose down before take off, and best climb speed is 300 mph (480 kph) at sea level.

The update is now live!

Please make sure you have all the latest updates, as FL2085 will be forced in the Legacy Arena on February 21. This since pilots would otherwise unfairly be flying different versions of the same planes against each other.

MAC users will need make sure to manually install all the files for FL2081, FL2083, FL2084, and FL2085.

You can find all the update notes and MAC install links at: http://bhlanding.ient.com/warbirdsforum ... um.php?f=5
