Gentlemen,
The Army is already ashore and needs our help.
Situation map below:
Three beachheads have been established on the east side of the Gulf. Troops are already pushing their way north, east and south.
Additional landings will occur within minutes along the south shore.
One of the destroyer squadrons took out the radar station at Dasol Bay (F67). That should allow you to get airborne unobserved, but the japs have other stations inland.
TF77.2 four BBs will be close ashore to bombard enemy positions before the assault craft go in, but it is unlikely they will take out all the enemy guns.
Planned lines of advance are shown in green.
Your job:
Protect the fleet, but protect the Army!
Knock out axis AAA and anti-tank guns before the mech infantry columns get to their objectives. Without your support, they will get bogged down or outright stopped. Keep axis aircraft from attacking our troops. The Army will capture fields if they can reach them, so don't worry about destroying all the defences, just get the guns!
Oh, don't touch the bridges, we need them to advance.
Axis will score points for sinking AI shipping anywhere and sinking static shipping at F43/44/56. No points for sinking static shipping at F57 if it falls into Allied hands. Destroying GVs does not score points, but if GVs reach their objectives they will score points for the Allies.
Destroying landing craft will prevent them from disembarking troops.
Allies score points for capturing axis fields (done by the AI).
Axis strike/bomber aircraft seem to only be operating out of Clarke Field and Formosa. Fighters are everywhere, so keep a sharp eye.
FEAF is still operating out of Mindoro, but it's a long way away.
Good luck
