S3 Series

As Frame 3 CO I asked for an early release of the frame's objective, which follows.
I'll be posting my thoughts the first part of next week but feel free to post yours anytime.

FRAME 3 March 1945
Mission : Bombers and fighters are dispatched to attack targets connected with U-boat
construction or operation.

•B-24s and B-17s are to hit the U-boat yard at Hamburg F79, Wilhelmshafen F69, Flensburg F67 and Altenhof F81 port areas.

Drop all remaining ordinance on the city of Hamburg.

It is understood that the Axis intelligence folks have decoded one word in our communications......U-Boat

If the code has been cracked, even one word, especially THAT word, my recommendation is that we change our mission.

I mean, if we're gonna use intelligence, let's be intelligent using it.

well, thats WB wanting to have action in the series.... I wouldn't worry about it, they haven't been much of a threat all series.

However we could go hit something else first, a quick Jabo strike from France into Southern Germany? Or an NOE Jabo strike from England to those coastal radars....

What is the mission. Destroy the Sub Pens or cause 75% damage to the objects in the target areas?

Well, if you took the northern route, split the buff group approx. 40/50 mile from u boat target at 69, run at it from northwest while other half of group continued onto hit u boat targets at 67,81 both groups would meet over target uboat yards at 79 upon which they form up and come home. Diversion strikes somewhere south would perhaps fake em out a bit and draw them south. Each BG would get two targets. BG 1 gets 69/79..BG 2 gets 67/81....everyone meets over 79 area for ride home.
A really bold diverson would be for the 352 to cross allied lines over the front presenting as large a radar picture as they can, draw LW to them, and...….kill them all fighting their way to group up point near 79. Their timing to cross the lines would be important, or rather their timing to appear on radar would be.

Destroy sub pens.

And I like that idea of the 352 breaking Dar 1st and doing a fighter sweep in from the South, then joining the buff group.

Allies are planning an attack on Berlin in Frames 4 and 5 from a base in France (to cut down on flight time) If we send the 352nd in on a sweep from the S in Frame 3 as a diversion, then in frame 4 we send the buffs in on that same route, they might hold back some of their fighters in Frame 4 thinking that we are sending in another diversion.... so it could be helpful for frame 3 and 4.... could be a good strategy.
