I didn't do much..........

But all of you and particularly the heavy buffs did plenty.
I did not look at the numbers as to sides but an overwhelming pounding was given by Allied forces.

Very well done in an ad hoc beginning and a resounding victorious end.

You brought the best out in the troops Sir.

Made many 190's break down and away from the buffs, but just couldn't get enough lead into them to put them out of their misery. Those 190's maneuver like Extra 300's. I had lots of fun from my view point.

I made a decision at literally the last minute to fly buffs with sleepy.
We, along with a couple of other buff drivers, blew the crap outta them!!
I want to thank all the C47 drivers for a job well done.
I can say that my gunners never called out a con all night and never fired a bullet.
Great job by 23rd escort first sortie and by others second sortie.

23rd heay buffs /splt/=vslp= hit and closed 1st sorte 72/73/31/32/33 and threw ord on 82.
2nd buff sorte splt/=vslp= threw ord on closed 66/74/37/38/16/75 and threw ord on 82/6/7
3rd buff sorte, ohshix killing 65/9 and almost killed 8.
23rd trooped 74/37/38/16/9/6/75/7
Threw ord on 96/95
Big thanks to grmpy,ohshix,slpsht from 23rd for great escort and to many various guys who tagged along at various times with ( where ya going? I'll come!)

Finally got troops into 6 coming in at 5 k...big salute to all preceeding me/splt into 6 trying valiantly to get it.
