Tac 43 presents certain operational difficulties. We can operate the same patrol from LAF 27 and only be five minutes later reaching the front.

Happy trails...

I believe the 23rd is a 3 step squad. We got basing for 2 steps, but not the 3rd. Orders for the first sorte, but none for the rest of the frame. Kinda agree with 352nd that the tac fields present some problems operating out of.

It would be good if the fighter groups utilize the forward TAC fields during the initial 60 minutes of the frame. This puts all of you at the front line waiting for the enemy.

I think it's against the rules to rebase during a frame. We can land at any friendly field to refuel, but can't engage before land in our original base.

Read through the rules for this series. Can't find anything that states that we can't rebase during a frame nor do we have to land again at our original base before re-engaging, so long as there "are enough steps and types available to move there during play." So long as you use the same TAC field, you should be fine.

8. Basing Restrictions - German 262s may only use the four LAFs indicated in the map. If they land anywhere else during the frame they are done for the night. Similarily Allied heavy bombers may only use two LAFs indicated on the map and are done for the night if they land anywhere else.

9. Squad Basing - each airfield has a limited amount of squad steps as well as types it may base during a frame. Squads may move to a new airfield only if there are enough steps and types available to move there during play. Larger squads may have to base at two or more airfields during play. Squads that sign-off for the night free up their base to be used by other squads.

•TAC fields = 2 steps
•small fields = 2 steps
•medium fields = 3 steps
•large fields = 4 steps

Copy that, DEWOLF. You have LAF27.

Please let me know what the operational difficulties are for my own education, sir.

Thanks <S>

You are right, VSLP. I lost a step there. My apologies.

Would M24 be a better field for you to base operations? All I want to make sure is that we cover all those bridge spans and L26. Want to deny them easy points and stop them from closing ANY of our bases.

Also, for my education, what are your operational difficulties from basing at those TAC fields?

Thanks <S>

Are you kidding? You fellas know more about this than I do. As soon as you said it, I figured I missed something and I had to go back and double check every single word to make sure.

Hey, you fellas did great last night. <S>
