S3 Series

Let em fly the without penalty. It seems like the majority of these pilots in question are rather new to the S3. They made a mistake. If they screw up again....give them the penalty plane. We need new guys to bolster are numbers. Putting them in Ju 52's probably isn't the best way to keep them flying on Sunday nights. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Edit.....I recognize some of the names, but they're new name too. Hope we are still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt...Hawk will correct it.

Thank you Epic for your support and yes, most of them are new to the S3s. I do hate to penalize them for my stupid mistake. It's up to the management to decide. Time to cool down and head out in 10 degree weather to arrest some drunks.

I would erase the kill on foo. If this can't been done give him a LL for the unsanctioned kill.

My intent was not to stir the shit pot...but from reading the report and not fully reading the rules, I did so.

There was another thread recently dealing with the rules and it seemed that the majority were in favor of taking the more restrictive course, at that time. JABO sets the boundaries for us, but in the heat of the battle, we CO's make decisions that we think are justified in making. I did the very same thing that HAWK did in frame one. I know where he's coming from and I made my case to JABO.

I, too, had what I thought was a reasonable explanation for our infraction and gave that explanation to JABO for consideration. However, JABO told me that he has few rules and that he would be sticking to those rules for stability in the S3. I understand and agree with him. He made the rules crystal clear and I/we have to abide by them. We will take the penalty plane like men and try to be more careful next time.
