Horrido!

Shutting down those F1 radar sites is a lot harder than when we hit the the solitary ones early in the series. Ack there is terrible and we do not have enuf buffs to do it in one mission'

We have to suck it up and plan to allow for their new radar capability. e.g. head southeast or even use southeastern base(es) to gain alt and then race in and do the job, especially on the south fleet.

Using the Stukas at F1 should be a good thing, as there are many boats in the area. Later in the frame humans might pick off some if ack is subdued. With more than one drone strike available, we could target the main base and then the boats. The ack goes down easy, even if the stoopid critters focus upon buildings and such. We may need some brave lites to help the critters if we see Allies using the grass field there early.

There is no place to hide, folks, so we need brave folks and our wits to pull this off.

RAF has F1 operational so their radars will see into the straits.

A mass attack by stukas onto F1 would do good damage. Or you could launch one stuka strike at a time against Dover when you see it clear of enemy or want to force them to defend. I can try a mix of bombs and torps on the stukas to see if one does more damage to anchored shipping insideoutside the port.

Alternatively the Stukas could strike the radars. I can make it so they have all the radar masts as their targets. Launch one strike against each radar location until destroyed. If you destroy the two main locations with 2 strikes you could switch the remainder to the port. All on the Frame COs call as for target and time to launch.

Jabo - Please build the following AI routines

Alpha - Ju87 Strike on Dover Radar
Bravo - Ju87 Strike on Dover Field
Charlie - Ju87 Strike on Dover Shipping
Delta - Ju87 Strike on F7 (Hawkinage)

Let me know if this iis possible.

Also - what is the respawn set for the shipping? Will routines replenish if they are sunk / end, OR is it a one routine per flotilla?

Horrido! Banzai!

I like the diabolical drone missions. There is hope for Sakai after all, the grasshopper.

We need the timing, but seems the earlier the better.

They will respawn but not right away so there is no camping over them.
I will design those AI routines but you are not held to doing them all. You just have to do one in a frame. If you want to rerun the same routine that is fine too.

Thanks Gums. Didn't realize that was the case.

With ref to the AI routines:
In the past we've used the AI as sacrificial lambs. This frame is different. Each one lost is a point against us. They will need protection.

The good thing about AI is if they just die by themselves or ack shoots them down they dont score. Its only when a player hits them that they score as a kill.
So they may do some stupid stuff at Dover but if you keep the RAF off them they wont score against you.

Its one of the hardest things to do right now, getting players to buy into protecting AI routines. If they flew better and acted more realistically then there would be a better chance of this happening.
WBs is not alone in this problem. Several popular games that enable bots have the same issues. Dumb targets that people only eat up if they are worth some kind of benefit.

TAKE THESE IDEAS INTO CONSIDERATION:

WE HAVE CONTROL OF F1
4TH HAS DEFENDED IT THROUGH ALL FOUR FRAMES AND ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE LANDING CHARACTERISTICS
F1 SHOULD BE OUR FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE WITH SUPPORT AS NEEDED
ATTACK RAF SHIPPING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BEFORE RAF CAN RESPOND
PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR AI AND MANNED AXIS BOMBERS
ACK OVER SHIPPING WILL BE HARD AND DIFFICULT ACCORDING TO FRAME 5 SUMMARY
STUKAS UNDER THIS SITUATION SHOULD NOT BE USED WITH TORPEDOES (THEY WILL PROBABLY GET THE HE DOUBLE TOOTPICKS SHOT OUT OF THEM)
MAKE THE RAF PAY IF THEY TRY TO CLOSE F1

THAT IS ALL OVER AND OUT
JUST SOME OF MY THOUGHTS

Omega-san

F1 is not under Axis control. For Frame 5, it is an open, RAF base.

Jabo suggested the Ju87s work best as AI in attacking fields or shipping.

The Western Floatilla in the Channel is our primary target for attack. We must sink as many ships as we can while simultaneously preventing the Allies from doing the same.

We need to win the points in this frame by 30 or more to pull a victory for the series.
