Remember we still have the strip at F1 to launch from at least once at beginning of the frame. Makes covering ships at F1 easy. Also the 110 is a great ship killer as long as it can stay away from Allied Air.

Horrido!

I go with the Stalkers. BOATS!!!

Let the strikers we have had this series hit boats - 2 x NS, 2 x Nomads and 2 x DR most nights.. Send the drones to London or someplace like that, and send them early.

The range is short, we are fast and we can hit and RTB and rinse, repeat as long as the Allies don't vulche our fields. Except for hitting F74 boats, we do not need to go NOE.

Herr Gums sends.....

I thought launching from Field 1 was forbidden by "the nature of the series". Jabo please advise.

My plan as it now stands is to send two AI sorties at T+0 to the London area. One at 5,000 and another at 10,000. Strikers–if they elect to not require great altitude to hit shipping–may wait 5 to 10 to allow the AI buffs to reach England before heading over the channel. (I would prefer a T+0 launch so that roster checkers will not see that the oncoming hoard is an AI attack.)

Do any fighter group leaders see a reason to fly 110's over the shipping as a striker/interceptor? (I do not.)

Also, I am leaning towards everyone attacking and covering the same target each sortie. (i.e. attack southern group first, then attack northern group next.)

This is my first proposed game plan.

Note: Launch AI buffs at T+0 toward Field 17 near London. Player striker/buffs launch T+0 but loiter to the East until AI buffs get into England; proceed to target when they are confirmed over England. Escort/interceptors will proceed to areas marked on the map but will remain fluid as we watch what the enemies response to the attack on the airfield near London. No word from Jabo on launching from Field 1; until then, I will assume that it will not be allowed.

(I expect nothing less than a perfect flight path along that arc from the strikers/buffs. :P )

We (4FG) used F1 last frame and it can be used until they close F1. 4FG will TO from 1 and cover the area as ordered but recover into F52 for the rest of the frame.

Recommend slight adjustment to the AI attacks. Going direct to London to hit the power plant and factories area in North Central London (E,F,F on map) will see our AI's further away from the AAA at F7, F10, and F17. Routing via F35 direct London works better but takes longer to reach target.

Our AI's are notorious for not hitting targets at airfields but London is a dense target environment. In all likelihood our AI's won't make it but it would be a shame to lose them all to Ack Weenies overflying 3 enemy airfields. We need the allies to commit their interceptors and the more AI there are, the less ammo they'll have for us over the Channel. If a few actually make it to London, we should get some points there.

I'm with you re: the 110's.

What Crommm said...

Hit the industrials in London... stay away from airfields.

Perhaps one or two AE could scout out the ship locations? (since you're over there :) )
