http://www.squadselectseries.com - new map and summary up

With the Germans on the defensive in the Dover area hurried airfields were cleared around the port to provide some local fighter patrols over nearby ground forces, the many ships in port and those crossing back and forth from the French coast. If was to prove a difficult task as the RAF was determined to destroy the ability of the German army to reinforce their beachhead.
First in were the low-level hurribombers lead by the newly arrived Canadian squadrons. Throughout the night they targeted German panzers on the frontlines taking out 26 during the days operations. They clashed with the protective 109s at Dover on the deck loosing 9 to the enemy fighters but accounting for 6 in return.
The Luftwaffe's response was not long in coming and a large escorted Ju88 group headed in to attack airfields near London. The lead groups took heavy losses at only 5000ft but this allowed the trailing main group to come in higher and cause extensive damage to Rochester and Gravesend. A later set of sorties would confirm their closure and lightly damage Hornchurch and Stapleford. In the fighting up high the Spitfire seem to have the advantage taking down 14 Messerschmidts to the loss of three from these mottled hunters.
Between the two Ju88 sorties, four groups of Wellingtons came in from the north and west to simultaneously hit the port and power station at Dover. Extensive damage was caused and at least 10 British bombers lost to fighter action and many more damaged by flak crashed into the steep cliffs around the port.
Near the end of the days operations specialized Ju88 ship hunters found a brace of RN destroyers off the coast and sank them as well as catching some freighters near Southend and sending two to the bottom.

Final score is still waiting on frame 2 but it looks to be a British victory in Frame 3 and they have a good lead going into Frame 4.

Heavy losses to their panzers for the second day in a row as well as the extensive damage caused to Dover has forced Germany into ordering an evacuation from England. All available ships and escorting destroyers have been order to protect this withdraw day and night until all but a small rearguard is taken off English soil. British reconnaissance has detected the increase outflow of troops and shipping and has ordered both the Channel destroyer flotillas out of Portsmouth and the Home Fleet to sortie and destroy this effort. The stage is set for a showdown over the Channel Straits.

Notes :
1. BDA and losses still waiting on Phenix's cleanup of the Frame 2 log. BDA and losses for Frame 3 will be added after this.
2. Level bombers hit only a few targets while those that dive down like Wellingtons and Stukas take out many more. All die quite easy but low level ones swirl around like fish and beach or crash themselves into high land.
3. If you pursue to the T+180 time limit you will land in the dark. Break off air to air combat to make sure you are home by then.
4. Penalty planes assigned to three pilots that teleported during the frame. Please correct me if I am wrong. These are just the raw stats from the log.
=vslp=, 23rd (landed at 19, took off from 43)
slpsht, 23rd (landed at 34, took off from 37)
swede-, 416 (landed at 33, took off from 43)
5. Arena is private again but open for testing. Just type .privatearena s3 before going online.
6. You may need to right click and reload your map otherwise it may be showing an old version from an offline cache.

Jabo, fragged myself on the first sortie, developed an oil leak and ditched in the vicinity of 33.It allowed me to re up from our assigned field with out having to ask for a reset. No problem with the penalty plane as I was wondering how that would play out. I like long lonely flights anyway, don't have to share my hootch with muzz.
One penalty plane accepted.

Jabo - I thought vslp and slpshot were strike and were using their second life after ditching, not teleporting. Assume swede was similar situation (?)

It gave you a landing at F19, so it looked like a warp to my naughty filter. Jabo, might have to recheck that list I gave you.

Thats fair enough. If you were flying strike and used your second life you didnt teleport. Actually didnt see a hurricane the entire night so not sure who was in what.
If you were hurricane and it was second life please ignore.

Jabo,
I believe I'm still going to be utilizing the penalty plane. May have actually used three lives not two. Though that the ditch at 33 counted as landing, so after first death was allowed to up again.
Confusion and to much coffee... Will not happen again.

Thanks for being so standup Swede. The Swordfish is so slow the hungry 109s will have to chop power and drop gear just to stay behind you. Chances the majority will stall and fall into the ocean.

Jabo/Phenix
Something is up with the log and/or S6 for frame 3. Our Wellington strikes destroyed >20 different industrial targets at Dover, including multiple industrial buildings, storage tanks, refinery pipes, factories, radar emitters and power station. These should be accounted for in the S3 score (I see the LW targets were included). It would be hard to believe we launched 32 Wellingtons and they did zero damage... Dewolf has photos and his accounting on the Allied Frame 3 Order thread.
Thanks
