In Frame 5, we saw two waves of US attacks along similar center-line courses.

The first attack was met with full IJ support and was moderately successful. The City-of-Hiroshima RCAF and Hasunatse-Kaigun patrolled the center of the map, flanked in the east by Luftflotte 6 Kaigun-Kokutai and in the west by Ao Hana San-Ni-Go. All three squadrons merged around F186 and began the long drawn out attack on the US forces, encountering Chance Vought, North American 51s, Consolidated and Mitchells.

Our consolidation in this first sortie was key to our early-frame success. We were able to overwhelm the US fighters and disrupt their timing.

The second sortie was less organized due, in large part, to the losses we incurred in the first fight, and our emergency landings and re-upping. Sustaining these losses gave the advantage to the Ami's. Their Corsairs came in and overwhelmed our fighters re-upping in southern Kyushu. We battled until the end, but heavy losses may have tipped the frame to the negative.

I want to give my thanks to the RCAF, 8th FG and 352nd for their work as the bad guys in this series. Those of us in Tainan Kokutai and Jagdgescwhader 51 "Mölders" who are dedicated bad guys appreciate the total effort from you all this series. It was my honor to fly with you all.

We always fly Japanese aircraft in any Pacific series and fly Axis in many European series. Our squads most used ride is the 190-A4, according to the S6 board. :D
