Salute!

I copy you, Darryl. I had same results with the eggs, although two 1000 pounders with perfect hits would work - not salvo 2.

I tried 35% gas with the 1600 pounders and climbed at 100% or even 110%, using 160 mph. If we come straight back from the tgts, we'll make it. I used 23K due to Lib crapping out above 20K, then cruised at 90%.

We could try salvo 2, 51 msec with the 1600 lb eggs, but I like the cross-targeting in case one guy has problems.

I'll shake the stick( means "you got it" for non-pilots) and wait for the DR tgt lines and such. Polling Nomads, but we should have 3 or 4.

Nomads will join DR at point of your choice, Darryl. We can use either base, it's your call.

Gums sends....

Sorry, Gents. I've made a mistake:

Time for the buffs enter in LW air space is +110min, not +65 as I've posted before (that's T/O at +35 and the 65min of the trip).

So you have more room to plan your climb ;-)

I have to agree with =dobs= about the P-38 - this plane is an excellent choice IF you have experience in flying it! If not - you will get yourself killed for sure.

The 51's and the 47's are awesome rides against the D9, A8 and K - Keep fast and high. The 51 can turn with prudence the 47 NEVER - all three enemy AC (262 different story) can not turn but can roll - they have to boom and zoom or die.

Double wingman pinch can take out the 262 with the right timing but hit him on the side.

I'll be on TS tonight, S3 time, if someone wanna talk about frame 1, and after that I'll post final orders.

Information required by the COs and Flight Planners of all of our Squads is now spread across SIX different threads. Hopefully all of this stuff, and the Frame COs FINAL ORDERS, will be consolidated in one thread.

EDIT: We must have been posting at the same time, Sepua. We'll look forward to your Final Orders.

Happy trails...

Darryl: Loved to hear that you guys find viable to close both fields. I'm only worried about the parked a/c on the ground, but I' try to adapt on the fly. Also 70/73 gives you guys a better "line" to hit the targets, doesn't it?!

SE-PUA:
I'm sure that the a/c on the ground at those fields are not included in the closure of the airfield. The ruling sounds like they will be in the process of taking off to follow the assigned routes that JABO has given them. I logged into S3 map and then went to free flight and there were no a/c parked on the ground, so apparently, they will be added the night of the event.

"11. AI Aircraft - AI aircraft from both sides will be located on the ground at various target airfields; some, all or none depending on the time. As well Ju52s or C47s will be moving between airfields throughout the frame. These will not avoid or attack to limit warping. AI transport a/c will be in every frame in the general area of the map route arrows and will not respawn during a frame. These are primary points for each side."

It appears that these are independent targets that can be attacked for additional points. I hope that JABO will clarify this point.

Thanks <S>

From past 262 scenarios - Axis will cover the NW route with long range spys to find the ingressing Buffs, then commit the 262s. Only way I've seen that screwed up was with a massive faint but with the distances to cover its almost impossible to make it back to Old Blighty before time runs out. Must be creative.

They aren't allowed to use the 262s against the bombers, so they will only be striking ground targets. They will know where we are ingressing and they will meet us. We need to have the fighter cover close to us all the way in and out. There is no way to be sneaky in this map.

Hold your horses!!!

After the TS meeting we decided to change the buff route.

I'll have final orders posted ASAP.

Thanks all, and especially Mr. DeWolf, Noflyz and Darryl for the input ;-)

Just my 2 cents - post final orders in a new thread "FINAL ORDERS"
