Salute!
A long time ago a few of us had the knowhow, guts and skills to make history.

It was not a very cold day for December and we had a stiff breeze to provide "wind over the deck" that Sakai always likes. Sliding back and forth to work the rudder and warping the wing tips was not easy, but we had practiced the year before in the unpowered glider and Will had porked the first attempt and I won the coin toss for this attempt. Hawk and Mt-Dew got the motor going and finally let go once the propellors got a good bite in the air.. DeWolf helped me keep the wings level as I raced down the makeshift catapult/track, stood to the side and cheered me on.
And then, airborne!!!! Yeeee haaaaa!!!!
We made three more flights that day and Will flew for almost a minute on the last flight.
