OK Gents,

This frame we will follow the K.I.S.S., and be fluid with our targets and defense.

American Eagles and the NS/Nomads will be our Escort/Strikers. AE will be in 109s for escort, but if you have some who want to fly strike with the NS and Nomads, log into the CA and get that extra life.

23rd and Lf6 are 109 Fighters.

Targeting is a concern for me and I would greatly appreciate input. Having been absent for Frames 1 and 2, I am unsure of where the best value lay. Boats are HVTs, as are enemy bombers. Other than that, the cost for an airframe loss outweighs the remaining targets (very similar to the Japan series we just finished). I see the front in the south can be moved if we close the fields at S26/v49 and S27/v51/d84. Another target in the south is the last Hawker field at G10. Along the coast, we have many choices, in addition to the boats. I am leaning towards this for the point values of the boats and the ability to have all the fighters in close proximity to each other.

Open for discussion and opinions.

Horrido!

Horrido!

Sorry to have been unable to contribute, but finally got machines working a some time to look at things.

Cool has best feel for buff missions.

Don't count on lots of ships to hit. There were no convoys, only singles last frame and they were armed freighters, moving. They will respawn after some time though if you sink them. Jabo said there would be no convoys as in the past, however he did say that to keep us guessing the shipping would be mixed up at some point. I take this to mean sometimes there might be a few ships steaming together, or more singles. The shipping lines furthest from the coast had no ships last frame they were inbetween the coast and 15 miles out or so. Of course he could throw a curve ball and have a few small convoys at some point.
Edit-> the freighters guns did hit me and another 23rd pilot but you had to get in fairly close before they fired.

enemy did all of damage to us last frame using Hurri's to kill GV convoys.. great job by coolon and Muzz to close 3 bases in that area .. 23rd did a great job finding ships to hit but was expensive. JG and AE's punished Hurri's attacking the GV's but didn't get them all. the remainder kept up the pressure as axis was unable to intercept again.. As usual enemy came in b-25's with Heavy fighter escort and closed 22 and as usual a 1 and done raid . Axis was unable to engage as they had a free run .this raid took up a bigger protion of their fighters as escorts and left the ground pounders to fend for them selves

my 2 cents is not only do we need to use our hvy's and closed the southern hurri field..but need to work over their Tank units hard

Besea - Thank you. I appreciate the info and agree.

NS/Nom Southern Targets are G10 (Hurri Field), S26, S27. Claim a base for your operations - AE coordinate with the Strikers for close escort.

23rd - Base S20
Lf6 - Base S21

sorry, just back in town.

Jabo said there were good points at the port of 91 at percentage each I'm not sure how much that will actually be.

The ships have surely been single ships here and there, no convoy or the like. Jabo even said last week that only single ships would try to make it in as it was so dangerous.

Gundoc was our driving force in the bombers last week! :) so far the targets havent been obvious as to where to spend very many bombers as there isnt the reward for risking a lot of airframes. so a massed attack (to me) doesnt have enough reward.

Now if we hit a series of targets I guess that might be worthy. I am not very good at coordinating escort as I'm not used to having it :)

is there a good area to run stukas through and hit a lot of ground vehicles and have the fighters right there with us?
I dont think we can see ground vehicles well enough to bomb from a bombsite... the rule where the big bombs dont arm if you drop them too low limits the use of those (so much for dfuse)

AE's are a 2 step squad now and have been taking up 2 bases.. what is our home bases.. i believe we will be putting up some where around 16 pilots this frame.

the Mc200 can carry bombs and is 1 of our ground ponders..

as escorts lets use tac chanel 17 for our coms with the buffs..if you have another channel in mind coolon we can do it

channel 17 is good.

Might be worthwhile to be on the same coms if that's not too distracting.

we can take Ju88s and hit S26 first... depending on opposition we can:

1) Turn around (as if leaving) retarget G10 from the west perhaps hit them as they replane.

2) Push straight on to S27 but it will be a long flight back to base if they come at us in force.

BASE: we can fly from 20 or 16 or even M3 Its a long flight from the further bases.

Whatever is decided the southern targets look good for tonight so I will study the different bases.
