Suggest that buffers consider the rather sizable concentrations of AAA at the Port adjacent to F-69. Taking out that AAA would make attacks on F-69 much easier. While all the targets at the Port are "associated" with F-69, full destruction of the Port is not likely required for F-69 according to the Rules. Should it be the case that the Allies get "bonus points" for dock cranes, "as long as we're there", they wouldn't be such a poor choice of "additional" targets.

Each LAF has Hangars, Radar Station, Weapon, Hut, Fuel Dump and Ammo Dump targets.
Check out the S3 listing on the main page for their hardness settings. Most targets are clumped together in several groupings.
As well fighters may strafe down LAF targets or carry ord.
Ruled closure will happen the day after the frame, please use your own intel to assess damage during the frame.

As stated in another post please only attack those locations with stars on them.

Thanks for getting back to us so quickly, JABO!

That's good news for the bombers. We now need to determine what it will take to destroy each target at the fields. If our fighters can get us to the targets, we can close them down.

Looking forward to Sunday!!!!!

Gums and Darryl:

Can we go for 70/73, instead of 69/70. As we are already there, why don't we go for the Me's bases?

So 2 more in frame 2 and we're free of those Me's ;-)

Ok, then.

1st: thanks all for the patience with this noobie CO :-D

Initial final thoughts:

Our frontline over Europe is so Important (point wise) as the Buffs, so:

23rd will be dedicated defence, based at MAF23 (3 steps) - T/O @ T+0 and sweep low (20k) S/N over our from line;

352nd will be based at LAF27 (4 steps) - 1st sortie: T/O @ T+0 and sweep low (20k) N/S over our front line. I need you in Twr at T+ 50 for 2nd sortie. IN the 2nd sortie I want you to T/O, climb as much as you can, and head 050º to LAF55, then to LAF73 to meet the heavies coming from the NW. Escort them as far as field L44 and turn south for a last sweep over the front line until RTB.

4thFG Stick to the Buffs from M107(3 steps) - actually send 4 scouts 3/5 miles ahead the formation to search for LW swines.

Nomads + Raiders - at T+35 take your Libs to L70 and L73 and close the Me262's bases. Take the N route and plan on entering LW DAR around grid 5,8,2,7 (around 65 minutes).

Night Stakers - field SAF22 (1 step) - if the small port at 51 is really a target, go and close it 1st sortie (i'll try to provide you cover). For the 2nd sortie, sneak in their port and lay waste on their boats

Any ideas or objections?

Salute!

Before I get up Sat and look at/test tgts, I can tellya that closing one LAF is a bear for even a 15 buff strike. Two is prolly impossible with current tgt hardness and weapon effects. Darryl is right - we gotta take 1600 pounders. That means a slow climb, even at 110% power.

We can't make the DAR entry at T+65 unless we takeoff earlier than T+35. DR will confirm. I am also thinking 23K, as Lib poops out above 20K. Need DR to look at that.

Lastly, no need to back track on egress, just head west and hope escorts keep us alive.

We're gonna lose enuf buffs to erase our points for the field(s), but we gotta try.

now to bed,

Gums...

DR is right. And Noflyz has a decent route!!! Thanks, man.

I'll try using 1600 pounders, but our RoC will be about 400 ft/min even at 110% power, and we'll need extra gas. I might try jetting an egg above 1500 feet to get better climb, then have 7 eggs left.

Thank you sir!

Takes 2x for the Wearhouse2's and Fuel
3x for the hangers
4x in the middle for all the ammos.

No matter if they are 1600s or 1000s. I got lazy and did it from a pretty low alt. I say we stay light and go with the 1000s.

I can send the Stalkers to finish off 73 if you do enough damage to it.

I need you to hit LW DAR at T+65 to 70 so I can protect you better… T/O at your discretion.

Let's close those bases and make it easier for the next guy "ya think".

If you deem it impossible I'll adapt.

Thanks again for your patience, Gents <S>

For us, it would be the most helpful if we know when, where, and at what altitude you wish for us to meet the buffs. You have clearly defined the route which you wish us to take...which generates a question...do you have any interest in us engaging along that route? IF we plan timing to meet the buffs when directed, AND engage, we will not be where you want us, when you want us there, or be at the proper altitude. If it is not your intention for us to engage, we will plan the most efficient route to meet the buffs. At the present time, we do not have enough information to properly plan an intercept of the buff stream, if that, indeed, is what we are requested to do.

Happy trails...
