American Eagles fielded 17 pilots for frame 1... present :

Atrick, Besea, Berkut, Bollock,
Cromm, Countt, Darken, Foss-j,
Jeepny, Kapsyl, Mikenz, Okdoc-,
Ozzone , Pppepp, Rock- , Swanee ,
Waggaa.

1st sortee: we launched from CV 64 (Yorktown) in our F4F-4's, when the scramble orders came down that our scouts found the enemy carriers Eagle 1 flight was tasked with strike escorts .Eagle 2 was tasked with taking over CV Cap to free up the 352nd. Ozzone provide CGI for our group.. immediately Eagle 2 became in engaged with enemy scouts.. while Eagle 1 stayed over our strike package.. Nearing the enemy CV's, a element of the Eagles along with elements of the 352nd intercepted a group of Zero's that was 10 miles North of our strike package. while the rest of the Eagles stayed with the buffs .. when the DR's started their dives in the enemy CV our group we set the Hook in a left wagon wheel over our strikers. we was able to bounce several zero's.. getting some kills saving some SBD's from certain death.. Strike package was able to sink the 1 of the enemy Carrier . when the strike call rtb i called for the same .i personally had motor damage and was at 50% throttle. along with several others in my group .. my wing man (crommm) covered my egress about 1/2 way back to CV's he encountered a lone zero and discouraged him to the point he left the area .. i looked over to my left and there was a SBD on the deck that the zero was actually harassing.. so big Kudo's to crommm. we all was able to RTB and get ready for the next strike.

2nd sortee: Eagles 1 launched from Yorktown and preceded to cover our strike package. with No enemy AC encountered we RTb'd and stood down

Eagle 2 stayed Busy the entire night keeping the boats safe.. scoring several kills on enemy attack bombers DA3's.

AE's total for the Night was 9 kills to only 3 loses to enemy action and 2 to carrier landings

Great Job from our scouts.. excellent work from the DR's in sinking all enemy CV's..
