S3 Series

Luftflotte 6 rolled from 157 with 5 from TK and 8 (I believe) from JG51. We took 3 wingman each loaded with torpedoes and once airborne we vectored to the 3,5x and then set a course for hdg 180 to 3,1,4 to turn 090 to convoys. JG23 was holding fast at the O club eating and drinking as they waited for our strike gruppe to arrive. Once we reached 3,3x they rolled and proceeded to RV with us. We turned due east after being cleared by command that the Allied were going to be preoccupied with the in bound bomber gruppe to Malta from the north. Once we got within 29 miles of know convoy operating area we asked JG23 to send scouts ahead to locate convoy. Finally the convoy was spotted at 6,1,5 hdg 045 seemed to be in 2 groups. Our Schlachtgeschwader was broken down to Gruppen I, Gruppen II, and Gruppen III. My Gruppen I, took a more northern approach while Gruppen II went direct and Gruppen III went southern. Being unmolasted by the Spitfires we were able to set up attack patterns and commence torpedo runs. Flack was heavy at sea level while JG23 tried to draw flak fire from us at altitude, then ships started to sink. My toros managed to swim between both columns of ships with out hitting its target. Was intense avoiding them flak bursts all said and done Luftflotte 6 was able to sink 3 DDs and 3 freighters.

Our numbers were small after for the loss to convoy guns a few of us made it back to 157 and 217 with the Brits on our tails of our slow Stukas riding the waves home. I believe the Spits were trying to intercept the Egressing stukas and 109s at 217.
