<S> Allies!
I have started to ponder on the plan for frame 4.
First of all I need to know if our assigned buffers will fly bombers this frame or fighters.

Robert,

It doesn't matter to us. Put us where you think we will do the best for you. You need my buff dudes in bombers, that is where we will be. Just not sure how many we will have, but will give it a go for you.

Personally I think we need point where ever we can get them. Offensive rather than defensive. Is my view..
My question is do the spits haft to come from England. At the start of the frame or do we get to start in France..in previous scenarios I recall they had to come from England.what the ruling on this??

Besea, in the other France Falls frame we started with much less of France, so any base could be subject to German ground attack, Chruchill didn't want to lose any spits to ground warfare so he ordered them to only sortie from England. I did not see any restrictions in the rules wen I reviewed them before we started.

Its a balancing rule so the Spits can base anywhere just as can the Bf109E4s.

If you look at the points you will see where Allied bombers can be very effective without closing fields. An example in Frame 3 was taking out the radar or radar station. Targetting these or a hangar or bridge(port as well) scores 1.0 pt each. Flying a high risk mission off of the North German coast could net you some points if you take out shipping. The Allies can use their modifield Fairy Battles(aka Kate) to drop torps.

Rgr. Agree we need to be offensive to get points. I'm thinking with the cover of the 352nd, our buffs could easily go tank/truck hunting if closing fields is hard atm.

The 4th would be close back-up, staying at max altitude west of the strike-area, keeping away from enemy radar and dash in if the axis commit to a fight, or intercept high alt enemy bomber raids. Prefered plane for the 4th FG would be the Hurricane, as it can get to high altitude and has the best firepower.

The RCAF and AE's/8th FG would be responsible for covering the northern/southern flanks against raiders. Also here the 4th FG can support if help is needed, or the 352nd can rush to help if closer with the 4th temporarly going in as cover for our buffs instead.

Key word will be flexibility and communication. I want each squad to have at least one guy responsible for reporting when something happens around them. The buffers will have to go wherever the enemy panzer is advancing, always making sure the 352nd is with them before moving in on any target.

Sorry for being late on the write up, but I will start writing the orders before tomorrow. Any input is welcome.

Robert what plane do you want the AE's/8th FG to be in for this frame?

RCAF has 2 frames in Hurricanes. With 8 303's we can hit trucks and Skdfzs (mobile ack). We will only do that if there are no Luftweenies around and Robert wants us in. ;)
