I think if you look at the points you will see closing fields has nothing to do with the score it only helps you with the FEBA and with making life more difficult for the enemy. The Allies can just concentrate on getting the enemy bombers and still win.

RCAF has flown strike roles and bombers, Flew Zeke bombers off the carriers in Pearl Harbour Campaign, B25H, B25J and Mosquitoes in the last Japanese Campaign. We just fly where we are needed, however, when RCAF aircraft flying, we want the fighters then.

I think the Knights should fly fighters for the rest of the series so we can win the war.

Check out the points advantage for a shipping strike in the north. I'd almost guarantee no fighter opposition, although ack might be fierce.
