4th flew the Hawk last night. Not competitive above ~15k but on the deck it was good. 303 guns allowed straffing trucks but not much else.

Looks like the FM Team got it right!

I also flew the Hawk 75. I agree with Bombr it struggles above 15k. I found it a fun and honest plane at lower Alts. Your not gonna run away from anyone, but she is nimble and her guns work well close up.

Yep sure held it's own against the Jerries. I think we only lost a couple to Messerschmitts and the rest to not pulling out in time on the trucks. Agree with -Oscar that you can kill the 'schmitts if you get up close on them and don't take snap shots but maneuver your way into a solid firing solution. It's an honest tool for the job. The fokker has better performance but only 4x .303 cals which leaves you exposed on the enemies six for quite some time. The Hurricanes are probably our best rides.

KoN fighters flew Hawk as well. Fun to fly. We pretty much only used them for strafing ground targets and SDKs. Worked okay for that.
Did encounter 3 110s. Got pings on them but couldn't get closer than D4. They just stayed out of the envelope for receiving much damage and would out run us. Was able to get one to leak fuel.
You definitely have to get in tight for guns to be effective I think. Overall I liked it.
